When Jazza started crying I immediately thought of this quote: “Gone from our sight, but never our memories. Gone from our touch, but never our hearts.” This is possibly my favourite because it’s so true, and Jazza even though I’m just a stranger halfway across the world please know (I hope I speak for everyone when I say this) we are here, I know we’re not family, but we are here

It hurt to watch my favorite artist cry, considering other's have gone through loss always reminds me of someone I've lost to suicide, he was a wonderful kid, cared about everyone around him, and I cared about him. We were awkward in person but over text we talked all of the time. I was going through a lot then, and so was he, so we were there for each other. Then I moved to a different state, and we lost contact. Unfortunately, a few months went by, a lot of people I moved away from thought I was dead, and he probably did too. I found out he went missing one night and police found that he had overdosed. I don't always think about it, I'm of course still trying to live my life, but every now and then I get reminders and it hits too close to home. Even if we grew apart, I always think about how great he was and how amazing he would've turned out-- I wish I could take his place sometimes. but it is what it is. ~See you on the other side Kyle.

He was 17 at the time i was 15 ish, he was my very first best friend we shared the same first name, Richard. So i can relate to how you feel so im crying to . while watching this im 33 now and just want to say sorry. And what a beautiful ending to the video.

I understand his pain. my Best friend/only friend, died in a car crash as well. We were in middle school and it happened on May 2nd. It just so much but I learned that she is happy and I know she is proud of me for staying strong. I actually have a close friend who died. She was always with me and understands me. She spent weeks in the hospital and my mother won't let me visit her. Days passed and we heard the news that she died. At first i wasn't crying that much but when my memories with her flashed back i was broken ito pieces. I randomly think abt her, what would her life be if she lived. Im so sad i wasn't able to graduate elementary with her...Its been 3 years but everytime i think abt her tears starts to shred in my eyes. It's hard, but i guess that's life. Temporary, short and full of memories that'll be remembered by the those who love you.

Honestly, I really appreciated hearing about Alex. She sounds like she was a wonderful person, someone who should be remembered. I'm sure she'd be very proud of the the family and life you've managed to build. I loved seeing your childhood drawings and stories! We're so much freer in our imagination and expression as children, it's quite amazing.

When Jazza started to cry about his friend and especially while explaining how soon her life was taken away, I felt an immediate pain close to home which made me tear up too. My cousin died in November of 2019 and we were very close, but the worst part of that is it's his family telling me that we were the closest people they knew, the people he lived with every day, told me he talked about me a lot at home and we were close, but I felt like I barely knew him just because I had to move to different states so frequently, so I barely even grew up with most of my family. His birthday was in December almost a complete month apart, and of course the death of my cousin was on a school day, so despite me grieving and feeling empty I still pushed myself to going to school which left me unhealthily exhausted... that was the very first funeral I went to in my life to where I knew someone and I was close to someone. I only went to one other funeral in my life when I was 4 years old. What also hurt though was the fact that the very last time I seen him was 2 weeks before he died, and 2 weeks before he died he was helping me and my family move to a different city in our state. I came across a box the other day cleaning my room, the same box labeled "sort another day" that he picked on me for. I heard him say that like if we were there on the last day I got to see him alive and nearly broke down crying. Getting back to the main point though, I feel as empty now as I did then because he was supposed to graduate from the academy this year to get his high school diploma, and he was supposed to graduate with me this year, but his life was taken away so quickly due to a car crash where his side was T-boned at a high rate of speed... we both would've graduated this week. He worked so hard to earn the credits the school refused to give him last year as a Senior. His graduation was cheated out from the school and because of that he didn't get to finally graduate this year. But I know he wants me to graduate for him this year along with everyone else he was close with, he treated everyone like family. I bet Alex is very proud that you're a successful and respectful person she knew and loved years ago. Moments like that is what keep us moving, and despite it being the most sensitive part of our lives, it's the most valuable reminders of why we have to move on. We move forward to remember the ones who had to return home, not just to mourn for their loss of company. You'll keep moving strong, we believe and love you Jazza! ❤

My heart. Such a sweet soul. I love that you're not afraid to be vulnerable and show your emotions. We need more of that in this world. It's so obvious how much she meant to you.

My heart goes out to you Jazza.. Losing such an instrumental person in ones life like Alex is heart breaking beyond.. And people like to say time heals and that it gets easier, but having experienced my fair share of loss I can say its not that it gets easier or that we completely heal but that we learn to adapt, that we grow stronger to bear the pain of that loss.. Watching you talk about Alex reminded me of a childhood friend I lost, Nicolene. Her gran stayed next door to us and being how I stayed so far away from my school and from most kids in my grade, I didn't have many friends outside of school. But she was one of them. Everytime she stayed at her grans, we'd spend time together. Our houses used to be separated by a short wall and so we'd sit on them and play in the ground bringing out our toys having a ball. At some stage though when we both moved on to the more serious grades of school and she didn't come to visit her gran anymore I learned she'd been diagnosed with Cancer. She fought really hard and her gran would always update us.. I never got to say goodbye the way I'd have like to but I do think of her often and hearing stories like yours with Alex it reminds me of just how special friendships like this are.. They do live on, in our memories and hearts.. Thank you for sharing this Jazza!!!! sending much love!!!!!!

This should be a movie. I started crying, I felt like I was in his shoes. A boy who wants to be an artist, loses a loved one and grows up to accomplish his dream and looks back on his childhood.
