Crying Wolf (original) 

Okay so wow Ivo Hugh's encounter feels like a bombshell on most theories so far and most importantly it exposes how the engines are "deceived" in the first place, it makes so much sense now. Most if not all of the engines are clearly targeted by a series of mishaps that affect them, lowering their own self worth and wittling their confidence down, after which they are offered something they seek and desire, a way to rectify these issues. We see this in the episode with James and Arthur, James experiences a mass of incidents and mishaps that slowly break his confidence and worth, feeling he is at fault and that no one likes him, making it easier to trick him, it's likely he would've been offered a way to be the best engine on Sodor or something, similarly to how Ivo was practically offered for Mr Percival and Duke to not be disappointed in him with the recent mishaps. With this new knowledge it's actually plausible we can work out what each engine was offered, Percy for example was likely offered the knowledge of what happened to his friends. Not to mention Mr Noramby now having an _image_ of one of the deceived engines, up til this point there haven't really been any recordings of the engines after they disappear, the fact Noramby was able to catch the first genuine imagery of one is very powerful, not to mention they seem to have another weakness besides prayers. Lights or cameras in general seem to be their second spot of weakness. Something very intriguing too is that during the chase the boulder is acknowledged as one of the "deceived" by the MOD, with how long it's been there I think it's possible the boulder was one of, if not the first "deceived" to exist. Next is the Sodor Silver, this feels like a very big link although currently I'm unsure how it ties in, at the very least it's important to the MOD meaning it's likely to exist in all other sites they are present in, so it's very clearly linked to Lady in some way. At this point it feels pretty well confirmed that Lady is in fact the daughter of the old quarry owner too, elseway she has no reason to do what she did at the end in order to resurrect the narrow gauge engine, while it's uncertain how Lady came to be, it's very clear she is the daughter with the link between her and the narrow gauge engine. Seems Lady and the deceived are very powerful too since they are fully capable of rolling along narrow gauge track too, something impossible by regular means. As for Proteus, it's very clear he's trying to save engines from Lady, with the old quarry link unveiled I get the feeling Proteus was one of the engines that once worked that line, hence why he seems to know about Lady alongside protecting the engines from her. Proteus still has many mysteries surrounding him, but at the very least knows who Lady is, what she wants and how to stop her, meaning he is very likely one of the old quarry engines. As for Gordon, I fear this is finally his end, with an ending like that I don't think we'll see him return.

this forest horror series just keeps getting great and better by each episode, this recent episode of the crying wolf was great even with the tense and the supernatural. awesome job on this 1 hour video Daylight 3. 👍

Holy smokes that was the most scariest forest horror episode I’ve ever watched and I loved it. So John was part of Lady’s victim, seeing him as a blankness zombie engine scared the keepers out of me alongside of Percy randomly falling, Oliver appearing from behind, boulder with a scary look, and the post end credits Lady, Toby, Donald, Toad, & Gordon (I think yea that might’ve been him) appearing doing some ritual by using a narrow gauge engine corpse, a Standard engine corpse, rusted scrap parts, next thing a loud scream out of nowhere & now random engine puffing out of nowhere

When Sir Norramby took the Husk's picture, the roar let out by it was horrifyingly good. Ive had a few paranormal experiences and that genuinely put some fear in me. Great climax scene, keep up the astounding work my boi

Ooohhh a lapis lazuli!!! I see her in the corner a cameo maybe she’ll play an important role I can’t wait to see if she interacts with ivo Hugh unless it’s another creature like the nartwin or boulder

Alright, so from the video, we got the following things: 1. Lady`s husks, can cross any terrain for her target (as we saw from Oliver appearing behind Ivo despite being Standard Gauge, and Percy moving from the hills down to him) 2. The husks seems to be scared of bright lights or getting caught on tape (as we saw from the blue Narrow Gauge engine running away after being caught on picture by Sir Robert, which might explains why Lady only takes her victims during stormy nights, where the fog covers all sights) 3. Proteus is still here, after reverting Ivo Hugh into a different track that leads to Boulder`s demise. 4. After the blue Narrow Gauge engine ran away, Boulder came in seemingly on cue. Is it truly alive? Or was it being controlled by Lady? 5. Bert and the orange engine seems to be working with Lady, as we see him speaking to the groans and creakings from the husks behind him. And 6. Lady seems to be doing rituals of some kind. She had Donald bring in a scrapped Standard Gauge engine, the scrapped Narrow Gauge engine from the orange engine, and some scrapped parts from Toby. After they pushed the parts and engines into the molten lava, an engine seemingly rose out of it, then immediately puffing off into the distance. Is the engine one of Lady`s newer husk from another engine? Or is this going to be a different henchmen to Lady?

"More endearing faces." This makes me wonder whether or not Lady is trying to cripple and demoralise Sodor, by stripping it of its institutions.

You know the series is good when you have to pause on every wide shot to see if you can find any Deceived lurking about 😂 Fantastic installment as always my friend

With every episode that comes out my heart pounds, the different take on characters such as Duke to diesel 10 shows true creativity. This makes me think that your take is along the lines of something we can't see on the surface, but true motives are within. I truly can't wait to see more!

Always refreshing seeing the little guys going about their lives. Granted, they might have it just as bad as the Standard Gauge engines, but at least Stan and Duncan have a friend in Lapis.

LET’S GO I KNEW AN EPISODE WAS NEAR!!!!!!!

So, I’m super late to this video, but this is an amazing series! All of these characters and all of mysteries are really worth the watch. But I do have a couple of questions. I noticed how much Oliver appears in videos as a watcher and a hunter (I’m not complaining tho, Oliver is my fav character). He has been seen in almost every episode of this series and helped hunt down so many engines and people. He was also the only one who was never “found” and sent to the smelting yard. Does this mean that he’s Lady’s favorite, if not one of her favorites? He looks like he’s been doing most of the heavy work (Along side Percy and Duck) and as seen in this episode, Lady gave him the ability to go onto the Narrow Gauge Railway. Even with all of that, he was seen to be one of the only ones to run away from Lady back from “The missing 411”, albeit failed and was given his “Scrapped” look. Why is that? Why was he still kept and not melted like Gordon if he ran away? What does Lady see in him? Why is he so valuable to her? And if he truly does get special treatment from her, does that mean he’s most dangerous one outside of Lady herself? Can’t wait for the next episode and more lore to come out!

George screaming toser at a literal boulder is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen

The big scene at the mine and the chase scene were nail-biting. From the statement made by Norramby earlier, I was expecting him to recite the Our Father to send the Boulder and the Smirking Blue Saddle Tank (who was voiced much better than the rest of the characters in this, very good job on that character) but instead braves them! It's nice to see another Narrow Gauge installment for Forest Horrors, giving us some more clues and revelations about the mystery. And I love the mention of an MRE! I never thought I would ever hear that abbreviation in a Thomas video of any sort! I'm giving you points for that.

Way back in henrys forest when edward is telling his stories, he basically set up the events, he first mentions the stamding stones, then tells a story of “a devilish creature that stalks killdane” then “one of a murderous engine made of other scrap engines” which is exactly what we saw at the end of this episode

Never thought I'd see Lapis live in the Owl House.

Well this part definitely went truly even more insane and dark here. This series just went up another level of darkness here. I can't wait to see what you have in stores for the next one. Keep up the great work and take your time on the next part.

Okay, first off, I LOVE HOW MUCH CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT YOU GAVE TO IVO HUGH! He really does feel like a natural part of the Skarloey Railway in this story. From him having accidents out of control and his experience with the Sir Robert Norramby, he’s a great character in this. And I love how you’ve built up upon the lore that had already been established! From the mines, to Lapis, it’s all great! Love how John appeared and how Sir Robert Norramby dealt with him! It’s all great stuff. And that chase scene really felt like a better Rusty and the Boulder, although without Thumper presumably causing the accident (RIP my man). Also Proteus’ warning was nice touch. It’s good that he wants to help engines still. Although, did you get a new microphone? The voices sound…fuzzy for some reason! It doesn’t take away from the story, it’s just something I noticed. Although, something I do have a slight issue with is continuity. I’ve assumed that you’ve used the TVS (until Season 6) with tweaked elements, but given that this takes in the 1980s and it’s stated by Lapis that Peter Sam lost his funnel, had a drainpipe, and got a new one… I’m not sure if she was being funny or actually reminding Peter Sam of events from decades ago, but… it’s nitpicking. Aside from that, brilliant stuff as always! Love when you upload an episode of Forest Horrors! Keep up the great work! Can’t wait for the next story! Also, I have a sneaking suspicion of who that engine at the end could be, but I’m not gonna reveal who I think it is now… (Hint: an older character…) (perhaps from a magazine story… ;)

This series keeps getting better and better. Good job Daylight! Ivo Hugh and Sir Normy's encounter is grounding breaking, not only did we learn that the 'deseved' are affected by flashs of light, but offer 'friendship' to those who are targed by Lady. That story about the mine from Sir Normy kind puts a nice bow on what happened to John and how Lady came to be. Plus, Gordon looks to be in rough shape, I doubt he is coming back to life. Also what has Thomas been up too lately? I haven't seen him at all and I know he hasn't been taken unless it was off camera...

This had me on the edge of my seat the whole time, especially at that post-credit scene. Keep it up!

That ending was bone chilling

Daylight, i absolutely love these videos. You truly are an artist with the storytelling shots and, most of all, the chilling and unnerving atmosphere.

Might write another overflowing essay after this, but for now can I just commend you for two VERY original ideas at 1:05:16 that honestly broke a lot of the usual tropes and that I honestly did not see coming: 1. John wasn't just a figment of Ivo's imagination which simply vanished when Sir Robert came and repeated called Ivo's name to get him out of his trance - this is what we would have expected had the trope been normal, but HECK NO John was still there as menacing as ever even after Ivo reopened his eyes and now had Sir Robert by his side. That was genuinely unexpected and thus 10x more terrifying. 2. Sir Robert wasn't just bluffing when he said he survived WW2 and thus was toughened up by the terrible things he saw and experienced- he literally is as brave as he described himself to be, honestly the moment when he just *clicked* the camera at John as if he has not a fear in the world was so goated OMG. I seriously expected him to be all talk, like normally people who keep on claiming themselves to be brave are. Bravo my man, another beyond superb outing by you. I've a feeling we're nearing the full resolution of the story by the day!

Something or someone rise from that lava pit,whatever it was,Lady used those scrapped engine remains,and then throw Gordon's into that lava pit for something,Ivo just having a visit from John,i don't what it is,but i belive is doing all of this to bring someone back. And it also show something,from what John said,who ever Lady takes,aren't giving a choice,those who refuse,she tries to take them out,just like she almost did to James and Arthur,whatever,or whoever Lady/The Daughter is trying to back,she's trying to achieve through her sick sacrifice.

Well that was certainly something. I was able to watch the premiere (yay) and I have a lot to wonder about now. Good job on this installment!

I shy away from most “horror”-related Thomas content, as it often feels corny/doesn’t fit well with the characters, but I have to admit that your series has me completely captivated and intrigued! For every answer we get, two more questions came to light. I don’t know how much more you plan to make - but I’m hooked!

At about 7:20 I thought I recognized that music, then it hit me! It's from Mouse Hunt! A dark comedy I loved when I was a kid! It's also the second movie I ever watched on a iPhone when that was a new thing, and I just saw Mouse Hunt a week go for the first time since 2015! So many good memories.

Holy molly I didn't expect this eposide to end like that! Good job on the work you've put in it. This episode really gives a lot of question of the world that you've build. I can't wait for the next one.

The only problem I run into when watching a new episode of this show is that my memory is so terrible that I often get only a vague sense of familiarity when shown recurring charecters, such as lapis lazuli... "I think I saw that charecter before, but can not recall when, WAIT! Why does no one notice that one of the employees has blue skin? Is that normal in this universe?"

This is yet another exciting entry to the forest horrors saga. I'm still holding out for that confrontation between Duke and Stanley. It's so funny to hear Barenaked ladies somewhere when you don't expect it, a pleasant surprise. I would say keep up the good work as usual, but you seem to be doing that just fine!

ok, I am officially scared now. The story, background, and additional characters is on christopher nolan level here and you're still cooking. That part with John though was fantastic. Great job to everyone. I can't wait to see the significance of the sodor silver ( current theory is Lady is A.K.A. the daughter and is made from the stuff)

Okay wow. First Daylight, what an episode. A long one too!! I was waiting for the next one. Secondly, this somewhat proves my suspension, all the deceived are not technically dead, toad, toby and Gordon's remains were still alive, we sew percy in the background in the scene with Ivo and Stanley. I'm still confused I thought Donald was captured??? Anyway I also didn't know there was a narrow gauge that was deceived. Great episode can't wait for the next! Btw how long does it take to make these???

the one thing i can't believe duke didn't pick up on is stanley calling duke, dukey. and that john from the mid sodor and the old iron bridge was taken be lady when proteus was there as well protecting duke, stanley, and supposedly john. how did she get him exactly. i wonder how else she is hiding and has brought back because they were either needed or useful to her. anyways just a thought but, you should show that in the future episode and maybe add in hank and sam (the American challenger) as extra military railway help when things are slow. and what is sodor silver is it a metal that can be used against lady and thats why d10's claw can dispose of ladys engine followers?

The owl house!? Out of nowhere!? Amazing. Peak even.

Every second of this series have something strange and after of bit of research i noticed something. In the episode James and The New Engine we see Arthur switched on to the Killdane industrial branch and as soon as he enters, his face hit's the branches of the trees and he ends up deep into the forest or in Lady's lair. The time of that episode is 35:41. In the episode old stuck up, in 19:10 we see the footage from the same place during the day and the fence can be clearly seen as well. Later when Spencer was talking about lights in the forest to D40125, even he was uncertain about the branch itself telling that the crash did happen but that the munitions was never there due to being a single track. If that's the case then this mystery is now even more weird: 1. Did Arthur used the same entrance to the forest like D40125 ? 2. If there wasn't a single track then how come Arthur didn't derailed like D261 ? If Arthur and D40125 did used the same entrance into the forest then i hope we will get an explanation in the finale. For those who hadn't noticed this isn't the first time the deceived engines like Oliver use the narrow gauge tracks because we had seen Proteus do that few times when confronted Lady. John had is first appearance in the episode Smudger and the Magic Mirror where he almost crashed into Duncan on the old iron Bridge however he derail and plunge into the river by Proteus. Since this series is kind of like Thomas and the Magic Railroad but Diesel 10 and Lady have swapped places, i think that Sodor Silver is some kind of energy source instead of gold dust and it is proven by sixteen hiding the the trucks in a restricted place of the Ironworks where it will be examined and after that we see Toby with a truck of silver, Lady with the remains of John and Donald with remains of Gordon being dumped into a lava for a strange ritual. So far Lady has only deceived steam engines either due to thunderstorms or striking by deceived engines to lure rest of the NWR engines into the buffers and deceive them and so we are left with yet few more questions for the finale: 1. What does Lady have in relations with the lights in the Killdane forest ? 2. Why does Lady deceive the rest of the NWR engines even though they have nothing to do with that quarry on Skaroley railway ? 3. Is this ritual the last one or will there be more what is the purpose of it ? So far every episode had always started different and as it went along it has always give us more questions then answers so let's hope that the finale isn't like that.

I’m still wondering when is the remaining engines on Sodor are going to find out what happened to the previous engines that got taken like Gordon Oliver duck and others

It's sad for gordon to die in the lava pit. He is truly dead after Donald pushes Gordon down and is able to complete Lady's sacrificial ritual. He will be missed dearly the big blue number 4 sodor engine name gordon. Im assuming john, boulder, toad, and Toby were killed as well. I hope burnett Stone returns and tries to stop his evil daughter from doing all of this or whatever else to stop lady and rest her soul in peace

Excellent music and shots. The voice acting could do some work, but everything else, especially the plot, has consistently been satisfying. As a Christian, I respect the aspects of our religion throughout the series

Okay, I just noticed on this rewatch but Donald is involved in the ritual at the end; which means he either survived his encounter with Warship at the end of the last video or he somehow came back. Taking into consideration that the MoD confirms that Boulder was both a deceived and killed I'm not sure which is more concerning.

Wow, this was a very interesting episode. I initially thought the narrow-gauge engines were invulnerable, but it appears lady can 'take' them the same way as the mainline engines. Even more terrifying is seeing they can move both on rails and off rails based on what we see at 1:05:12. It was mentioned that the railway owner's daughter had a close connection with the replacement engine and died with him in a mine collapse. And we see at the end of the episode the rusted remains of the blue engine that Lady was controlling get dumped by her into the smelting pit with a woman's agonizing scream accompanying it. It makes me think that the owner's daughter was somehow bound to the engine with her soul being connected with him. Considering it was mentioned in a previous episode that she was involved with the cults that were present around the mine, so it wouldn't be impossible for this to be the case, with her being bonded to the engine through dark magic or something of the like. I also wonder if the possessed blue engine we see at 1:33:39 and 1:15:43, and the replacement engine mentioned 57:00 were in fact the same engine in two different forms, given that the engine remains that were dumped by Lady into the smelting pit were different from the replacement engine we are shown in the flashback story. I also wonder why Lady got rid of the blue narrow gauge engine? Did she see him as a liability? I'm really curious. I also wonder what 'Sodor silver' is. Is it some special rock that can repel demons and other anomalies? Does it attract them? What makes it distinct from regular silver? Really curious to know. Great episode as always, can't wait for more.

OMG another forest horrors episode! This one should be good. Unfortunately I won't be able to make it to the premiere because of sport practice.

The strangest part is why would Lady need the empty shell (almost like Gordon), narrow gauge engine (possibly John) and some scrap for her ritual if only that engine which has risen from the molten lava is her boss ? Another thing which is strange is Gordon. Ever since he had become Lady's minion, we had only see in him few times and after that nothing. Gordon couldn't have been scrapped in this episode because he was already scrapped in The Ffarquar Siren episode.

* I think I may have just had a breakthrough on a core element of the plot * In the credits, we see John and Freddie at the mining company with a faceless Lady in the background. This photo is obviously taken before Jezebel's death, so it seems like she inhabited the body of a separate engine the mines owned. * In Norramby's story about the mining company, we also see a head-on view of Bluebell without a face. Of all the possible engines, faceless Bluebell is chosen here specifically for some reason. * Then there's all the stuff surrounding Sodor silver this episode. Old Stuck-Up tells us "silver-plated" is the term for engines with faces, so Sodor silver seems to be how engines get their faces. The silver has absolutely no relevance to the plot this episode, yet still comes up multiple times. Sixteen mentions that it's on his train in the post-credits, various characters mention it being mined at the quarry, and as soon as Boomer discovers the mine has it he shuts down all operations. * Now, consider for a moment that we've never seen Lady's face. She is always shown either facing away from the camera or in a manner that obscures where her face is. Or at least, where it _should_ be. * We never actually found out what the MOD was mining at the dig site. And for every character under Lady's control, their face is either obscured, completely gone or they have no pupils (John being the one exception). * I don't think Lady has a face. And for her to reach her truest power, she needs one. The MOD's operations are specifically keeping her away from any Sodor silver she can get her hands on.

Things I found out this episode, It's been a year since percy went missing, The engine that tried to lure and trick Ivo is a 6 and Ivo is 7 so they obviously knew each other at some point in their lives, and that could of been the reason he was chosen to lure Ivo. Oliver is one of Ladys favourites it seems. As long as its dark and stormy those taken by lady don't need rails to run on with the exception of areas connecting to the magical rails that lady comes from for example when Edward followed gorden. If fail at luring another engine or get caught they get sacrificed (I assume since the engine that got thrown in the lava looked like it was that same No 6 that failed at getting Ivo) Gorden can still move around even though he's just a rusted outer hollow shell (I assume his spirit is still alive) (ignore this because the hollow shell got put in the lava too) As the engine sank into the lava something was rising up from it, but we didn't get to see who or what. Looking at the bolders eyes they look like Gordens

Some notable discoveries I dont see people talking about: - Sodor Silver, previously mentioned in Old Stuck Up, seems to be connected to the reason why engines are alive in this universe. - Lapis seems to appear like a regular human to ordinary people. - Diesel 10 and the crew may be the ones smashing the buffers, likely in an attempt to stop Lady from being able to travel around - which would fit with a similar cut subplot from Magic Railroad. However since #6 appeared in the middle of a hill, #11 on narrow gauge tracks, and the blue engine from a sinkhole, that likely won't work.

There’s more answers but there’s mores questions… overall another fine story and visuals.
