Crypta easily plays about 250 shows a year. It's hard to even know where they are today! The Brazilian band Malvada released a new MV today: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DmP4c8JA_7c.htmlsi=nl8BOlbI4fHJc6LY Cheers!
They are way awesome! They deserve all the credit they can get! Thank you for the suggestion I really appreciate it, it has been a while sense we have checked in on them so thank you for the heads up we will be checking that out ASAP!
It's an Aristides bass. They also make guitars, too. Fernanda has been using this one as her main insrument for quite some years now i think, even back when she was still in Nervosa (along with Crypta-drummer Luana) What you saw Taina have on her fretboard during her solo is not a capo but simply a band with some fluff on the inside to mute the strings behind her fretting hand. It's something you do to keep the strings back there from ringing from resonance. It's to keep your sound more clean, often used for recording especially. you just slide it up behind the nut when you want to use the whole neck.
Crypta is without doubt my favorite Death Metal band since Death itself (RIP Chuck). Nervosa is a Brazilian thrash band that the bassist & drummer from Crypta left (on good terms) to start Crypta, Nervosa is good as well.
I think I have heard Nervosa before, that sounds familiar! I can totally understand why you dig them so much! I really dig how they have an old school death metal vibe going on with some thrash and other goodies in just for good measure which really gives them a fresh awesome sound, I dig it!
They did a small headlining US tour at the beginning of this year and I saw them in Cincinnati (Covington, KY actually). I already loved them, but seeing them live is just another level. They’re so humble and thankful. And they are having fun. Love Crypta and can’t say enough good about them.
