Flo is one of my favorite drummer and he also though drums to some very good drummers in my area. If you like the smootness he display while playing, go check out Bryan Fajardo the smootest of them all. Bryan shows up to gigs wearing tight casual long sleeves crew neck looking like someone lost in the wrong crowd and he sit at is drum playing those sick aggresive blasts from the war field in the most relax stance ever👌💯 *By the way Flo's name is pronounced FLOW MOO-N(Y) -HEY (the "ni" sound like the last sound in mo[ney] and the "er" would sound as the last part of Sund[ay]/sund[ea]) so you were not so far 🎉
Flo was good but i dont like this new sound of him... but I have a very big respect for him as when he was younger he was able to hit as hard at concerts to be heard loud enough without any triggers which is insane.
@@komradenikolai JoJo mayer would disagree. Cryptopsy is awesome but they clean up his drums alot on the albums. You can see the difference in any live performance you can find on RU-vid. Even his famous blast beat is sub par live but perfect on an album.
That is because of mixing techniques used. Throwing the attack up on a microphone and adding an ungodly amount of compression will achieve that effect. When live, you cannot do that because of Feedback from the monitors, the Hi-hats, and the other instruments, whereas the Studio is Isolated, so you can get away with it.
I didn't see them live in the last 15 years or so but he was far from sloppy back when I used to go to their gigs. The drum was as tight live as it was on albums and during the "None so live" era the drum solo was a blast to see each and every time trying to figure which body part was involved in which rythm section 😅.
