But they already had a sequel planned so a reboot was out of possibility. And tbh, they made the right choice, original trilogy was already great and it would be nice to see them expand that story one more time and close the plot holes for good before moving on to anything else.
Crysis 2 and Battlefield 3 were the best looking games of 2011. Anybody can correct me on that but CryEngine 3 and Frostbite 3 were damn good at the time especially on console
Did you know that the Crysis 2 we got actually Crysis 3 and the real one is a comicbook takes place in retruning to island to help Prophet. I spoke with Cevat Yerli 8 years ago about it and he stated that "with the problems and the limitations and new cryengine, we put the game in linear gameplay but our writers left company and we had to put aside the project then began to work the current version of crysis 2." So yes Cevat was planning to return island but with the issues accured on the way the developers had to change the game. Also there was a heavy pressure by EA to crytek for when they are ready to launch the game.
Yes. That's why Crytek told the story between Crysis and Crysis 2 in a comic book. You can find out what happened to Nomad in that comic and what happened on the island.
@@mertvolkan07 Maybe they can return to he island in Crysis 4. I don't know what else Crysis 4 can be about since Crysis 3 ended the story pretty well at the end.
The remstered one better focuses on the details like his hands have clear detail Also it removes bright colours and lighting and makes it more foggy And the walls have more moss and cracks and dust at some part to show that they are actually destroyed
You can feel the atmosphere from the original, the lighting is better, and has a lot of detail The remaster left out a lot of these just because it made for console players to experience the game
You say that as if the original Crysis 2 wasn't also on consoles. (And the Xbox 360 and PS3 at that which are very weak systems by today's standards) Also the remaster objectively looks better, it has better lighting and has much more detail. This is a very confusing comment as well as misleading.
Crysis 2 remaster has better ligh on the suit if you see on the original the metal parts on the fingers are always reflective even when no light is hitting the hand, the crysis 2 is more real light the original was more cinematic
Even to this day the old Crysis games hold up so well in modern times. It speaks volumes about how good Crytek is at what they're doing and why the phrase "...But can it run Crysis?" is so, dare I say, integral whenever we look for a new console, PC, etc..
Textures on Crysis 2 have a lot of compression to them, especially the ones in the DX11 patch. Even some can still be found in Remastered but the game is bloated due to massive texture sizes fitting the models.
i remember these games i absolutely loved them back when i played them on ps3 i kinda wanna play em again is the multiplayer going strong or is it dead?
To me, the remastered version has more polish models and the colour and direction of the lighting is much more accurate.Even so, the lighting weren't creatively used in the remastered unlike the old version so sometimes, the scenes get kinda weird and off Sorry for my bad grammar
The remaster has better looking environments, the original has better looking weapons and effects. I much prefer the original 2 and 3 and my good old xbox 360, but they all bring the wonderfulness of crysis; so I’m happy
I can see the Feline lacks the hexagonal pattern and the combination of light and dark gray and white in the remaster. Edit: I forgot, the Feline is usable after killing the guys in the alley with Armor mode active. That's a SCARAB.
Remastered games are trash today. If you want to enjoy crysis 1 & 2 buy the cds. Crysis 2 is great, but 1 had better graphics and is still in my top ten favorite video games of all time. Words cannot describe how much detail and effort was put into the original crysis. The freedom and graphics\textures are absolutely breathtaking.
The c2 remaster is a worthy remaster Many of the flaws in the og where corrected or replaced with better alternatives Weapons look great with 60fps animations Shadows dont phase trough the floor Aswell as proper fov support and accurate lighting
Absolutely. I’ve beat the C2 remaster (since January 2022) about 30 times. It’s genuinely my favorite shooter ever, quite possibly my favorite game ever. It’s simply a *masterpiece*
@@garnetcobragaming I just started playing Crysis 2 remastered in 2023 and I was surprised to see how good the Crysis 2 gunplay/gameplay is, even in 2023. in fact, a game from 2011 has better gunplay than games in 2023.
@@kishaloyb.7937 Seriously. I was first introduced to the series in like 2013 or 2014. It was Crysis 2 and I was pretty young (so I wasn’t good at shooters at all 💀), but I had a ton of fun. I was amazed by the visuals, setting, tone, and antagonists I was presented with. All the guns and their sounds and animations got me super excited to find new weapons. I hadn’t played Crysis 1 or 3 until I bought the remastered trilogy, and ohhhh man was all that nostalgia and awe cranked up to 11. Learning about the suit and where it came from, the tragedy of raptor team, being able to experience the new features they implemented each time around, and seeing the story all come together throughout the three games. Needless to say, I love these games and I always will. I’m so freakin hyped for Crysis 4!!!
This game is perfect. I don't see any significant difference. Just they increased the sharpness and contrast that's all. The game just need another episode and story. Crysis 4.
It's actually the opposite, the original Crysis 2 had overdone 'JJ Abrams' esque blueish post-processing. It was supposed to look "cinematic" but nowadays just looks sorta bad and crushes blacks and drowns everything in cold hues. The remaster's color grading is just how the original ACTUALLY looked behind all the filters.
@@CricetoFunni the taxi's are also overly reflective in the original, sort of like all of them just got out of the car dealeship and haven't been sitting in an active warzone
yep. That's a good point. But i assume he also maybe infected by the virus. That could be the reason. And even if he died his mind uploaded into nano suite. I guess. Don't know for sure though
Prophet was infected with the Alien virus that was spreading across the city and couldn't carry the mission in his state as a walking biohazard. He made use of the last surviving Marine for a rendevous to carry out his mission in the suit before taking his own life in order for it to accept Alcatraz as its new user.
