Crysis 4 | What We Know So Far 

Just to correct: In Crysis 1 you play as Nomad and that's it. In Warhead, you play as Psycho, in Crysis 2 you play as Alcatraz and then switch to Prophet and in Crysis 3 you play as the Prophet.

I played Crisis as a kid and it was the game that had introduced me to Gaming, and I fell in love with it. And now that im Older I replayed, and have now realized how Crysis went from a Masterpiece to a franchise that tried to blend in with its competitors, only for it to come crashing down. I hope Crytek have learned their lesson, you don't need to copy the best selling Titles and see how you can improve on them, instead, improve on what had separated you and made you unique. Being a Tactical Sandbox FPS, with the freedom to tackle an Objective in so many different ways, with so many possibilities to think about that you will never be bored. Crysis in my opinion is the epitome of the genre "Tactical Shooter" each player will have a different mindset when approaching an objective, each have their own minds that formulates their own Strategies, and once they formulate that strategy its up to them to execute it and respond to unforseen circumstances that comes along the way. That is how I remember Crysis as, being able to go gun blazing on my first playthrough as a kid and dying horribly, and slowly learning, adapting to how i failed and form strategies around that failure, and not just hitting the restart button and lowering the difficulty. (Mainly coz my dad had always made me go for the higher difficulties difficulty when playing games, yea i have the best dad :// ) I really hope Crytek can recreate or better yet, improve that feeling not just for me, but for so many people who also has the same opinion of Crysis. its been almost 12yrs since i first touched Crysis, it was the game that introduced me to gaming, it had revolutionized the Gaming industry in one way or the other, and I sure as hell wont be satisfied seeing it sully its own Legacy.

I want them to go to the ceph homeworld, and fight in a place so completely alien

Id like to see how the Ceph tech had changed human kind. Maybe Prophet has to come back out of his unconventional retirement, because some sort of faction is using the alien tech maliciously. Just because CELL was dissolved and the Ceph kicked out of the Milky Way, doesnt mean humanitys troubles are over. I hope to see a more controlled-open-world type of game design, like the first and third game. Say what you will about Crysis 3, it had the right direction, but a lacking in development time. I hope this installment rectifies this.

First was more for breaking the game boundaries.. (no gpu company lobby, no cpu company lobbying ) After that, all was under company under influence (console company etc)

I don't think it's a reboot because even in the teaser it's called crysis 4, if it was a reboot there wouldn't be 4 in teaser, nomad is alive even you can find some files in crysis 3 that mentions it, not sure where 4th game is headed by I think maybe it has something to do with ceph home planet

Crysis 2 is in my memory for ever played every singel crysis game and as a kid so hearing that 4 is coming makes me hyped😮

If you read the canon Crysis comic books, Nomad got killed by a CIA agent while being investigated. At the end of Crysis 3 Psycho was hunting down the ones that skinned him. So I think Crysis 4 will follow a Psycho story campaign.

Fingers crossed it’ll have an awesome movement based shooter pvp mode

I really hope they take their time and PLEASE not trying to go with a trend or crrating a next gamechanging inovative game. Most of top anticipated games nowadays are just fucked up because the game itself is unpolished, microtransactions or just stupid gameplay design just trying to male something new. Keep to the roots, listen to the fans but the studio needs to believe in the vision they have and just create a good story. I would like to see a simple multiplayer again like in crysis 3. i had a lot of fun with it. But the focus should stay on story mode. Crysis 3 one of my all time favourite games!!!
