When I was 7/8 years old, I only listened to Crystal Gale on my tape player that my mother recorded and I took it. I'm 26 now and still love her music, this is one of my favourite songs.

Fell in love with her and this song and this album almost 40 years ago. I can sing along at the drop of a hat. Good stuff.

This song was written by Bobby Bond (aka Bob Reinhardt). He had a band in Michigan back in the 50s/60s that my brother played in. Proud to see one of Bob's songs so beautifully presented here.

I think this song means . Our connection has dissolved where once there were smiles , now there's only tears . I feel like you're an island drifting further away from me caught in turbulent waters and slowly sinking . Your goodbye is dragging me down and I'm struggling to stay afloat . I'm left questioning why love fades , it will take time to fully grasp . Our envisioned future has become a distant past , your love slipping from my grasp . Your departure is consuming me and I'm descending into darkness . Your green eyes didn't prepared me for the heartaches to come , I was in denial . Your affection and false promises , I mistook them for the truth , now I understand the feeling of drowning . This song portrays a woman devastated by their break up , things will never be the same .
