ya know it's crazy but this is prob one of the few Randy Travis songs I wasn't familiar with lol after finding out it was the basis for the AI used to help make the new song he put out "More where that Came From" I had to listen to the song..sure enough it's amazing...but also super important bc the AI is used THIS song for it...crazy...
I think this song means . We shared a goodnight kiss before turning off the lights , then laying side by side in the darkness , anticipating sleep or spark ignite . However ,the passes without any spark , leaving us quietly concerned and pondering , with the silence defeafening us like thunder , resonating with finality of goodbye . Its a sound that hints at the end , whether it holds truth or deceit . We could discuss mundane topics like the weather , news or gossip in the town , but underneath it all , another true love is crumbling . We could talk about promises and lies , but there's no use in shifting the blame , as the echoes of " I love you " still linger , tainted by mistaken ring of farewell . Time maybe eternal , but love can flicker out like a dying flame , each passing day growing colder , with the relentless ticking of the clock serving as a constant reminder of the impending farewell . Its a feeling they quiet explain , an unfamiliar sensation something they held dear . Sometimes , recognizing the signs and parting ways is the always the wise choice , rather than clinging to a love that is slowly fading away . Its a tough realization , but sometimes its better to acknowledge the truth and bid farewell , rather than holding on to something that has already slipped away . Sound Of Goodbye
My sister and myself seen randy in Knoxville Tennessee she was blind in one eye could not see him good and I really great security guard took us to another side she was right above him could touch him a month after this she passed away at age 23 I love his music so much and miss her so much
Let's just say I've never been a country music "enthusiast", don't even listen to it, but I can 'Appreciate' music from country all the way to Mozart. And I liked Randy Travis the first time I saw him on some short clip on some TV show some many, Many, years ago. It was something about him, personally. He struck me as a good person with a good heart and a good soul. And, to me, what a Man is supposed to be. And I'm thinking it might have been a talk show because I'm fairly sure he hadn't even sang yet. :o And when he did, I was sure that my opinion of him was correct. <3 I'm only here because Matlock just came on and he's the guest star, and he's singing this song. Caught enough of the lyrics in order to find it... Wow. Like I said, I don't even listen to country. But I'm gonna listen to this one song probably several more times, and more than likely find another 1 or 2 of his... :) A true person. A true talent.
The dieing breed. I miss my Lisa❤❤❤ women just are not the same. God bless from West Virginia. I love you Lisa , I know you're in heaven , but can I have this dance? Love and miss you Lisa. Ronnie ❤❤❤
I think this song means . Our connection has dissolved where once there were smiles , now there's only tears . I feel like you're an island drifting further away from me caught in turbulent waters and slowly sinking . Your goodbye is dragging me down and I'm struggling to stay afloat . I'm left questioning why love fades , it will take time to fully grasp . Our envisioned future has become a distant past , your love slipping from my grasp . Your departure is consuming me and I'm descending into darkness . Your green eyes didn't prepared me for the heartaches to come , I was in denial . Your affection and false promises , I mistook them for the truth , now I understand the feeling of drowning . This song portrays a woman devastated by their break up , things will never be the same . All the words spoken were nothing but lies , now she's drowning with no one to pull her out . Sometimes , love is simply not meant to be . Going Down
I got to see Randy back in 1985 in Baytown, TX! He had finished and came back on stage and I asked him to play this song. His response was, "Ma'am, I' ll sing 1982 just for you!" This was before he became so famous!
Did the same thing to me and I can go to the IRS to process it was a great day and I hope you have a great day I think it's just let me know how it I have to the
My daughter’s leaving on an archeological dig and I always make her a playlist. This song from my youth always makes the cut. You’d be surprised (or not 😂) how many songs are out there with 🦴 references lol.
My little sister loves this song. She has Down Syndrome so doesn't like new things. She only listens to songs she already knows and doesn't like to listen to new ones but I had this playing in the car and she didn't want to like it but she started to nod and dance along and pretty soon was singing along. She says it's a good one and she likes it a lot!❤
Man this takes me back. I remember when I was a kid in the late 80s, early 90s, sitting in the back seat singin' my lil heart out, not even understanding what these words even meant until right now 💔 man my heart hurts
