Rest in Peace and Love Gordon Lightfoot. He was the great Canadian musician who wrote this memorable song so many have covered. May 1st 2023 Gordon Lightfoot passed away in Toronto Canada at Sunnybrook hospital! We are proud he stayed here in Canada to build his fame and fortune. ❤🇨🇦🎼🎸🎶🙏🏻⚘

Yes Gordon Lightfoot could really turn a phase into lyrics that would pull on your heart strings. Sadly Gordon Lightfoot passed away yesterday May 1st 2033. Rest in Peace and Love Gordon Lightfoot. You blessed us with so many fabulous songs and created so many memorable stories into songs. Like the famous tragic Wreck of the Edmund's Fitzgerald. He captured that tragedy into a song, as it was still in the newspapers. Great historian and Respected Canadian! ❤🇨🇦🎼🎸🎶🙏🏻⚘

I'm pretty sure that you could have fired off a cannon right behind Jimmy and he wouldn't have even blinked an eye or missed one strum on his quitar , man could he ever play. Thanks for sharing these videos Larry

Sadly Gordon Lightfoot passed away yesterday May 1st 2023. Legendary Canadian and singer songwriter. May he rest in Peace and Love knowing he blessed us with so much great memorable stories that were songs! Some true, some observations, but all paintings, like a Group of 7 masterpiece, but in song. Truly remarkable! I've been crying since I learned of him dying. Can't seem to shake this devastated feeling! So I'm consoling myself in finding all his music posted on here. ❤🇨🇦🎼🎸🎶🙏🏻⚘

On her first TV (1970), Crystal sang this song in key of D. Here, now in B (same key as her latest CD).

It was not critical; Crystal and Anita Carter are (was, for me) one angel voice. I played so many years behind country singers (lead guitar). Berst wishes to you, Tony.
