Idk for me I think my shots hit better in CS2. I also get a much bigger dopamine hit and the feedback getting a kill is sublime in this game. It just feels great. I agree sometimes bullets vanish and mysteriously don’t hit, but Ive dealt with that even in GO so if anything just sad that still happens. Spraying definitely needs work. As for the shotguns they are indeed broken. Although Ive also been saying this for years that they were too accurate and doing too much damage from far distances. I even made a video on it. They need a nerf as do the negevs.

My biggest problem with cs2 is how much of a drop in FPS everyone gets. To play this game at a slod 60, I had to lower the graphic settings to the lowest amount and play at a lower resolution. I hope they can fix this, because one of my favorite things about CS, at least for me, was that you could play it on anything really.

I feel like sometimes shots that look like they should hit miss but also a lot of the time shots that i feel like should have missed actually hit. Im probably just not used to subtick yet.

when csgo was still available, I easily got like 300fps, 210 at lowest. now in cs2 I barely reach 170 (averaging like 140 and smokes just drop to 80). as for cheaters, I don't think VAC live is still up though. might be wrong, correct me in that case.

I feel exactly the same about hit-reg. Feel like this server side 'predictive movement' has changed where the player model is... making the player just pop on your screen. Havent heard this talked about much, almost going under the radar. You need to be extra-movement predictive in order to hit your shots 😅

the grenade line ups i learned is like completely thrown out the window and its weird now but cs2 gun play is good to me

i have a 12400f and a 3070 and easily get above 300 frames, the only time it does drop below 300 its because of high quality maps (lowest settings so kind of makes sense)

My only complaint ab cs2 so far is like what he said at 2:08 but my issue is that I loose the bullet tracers in the bright light so it's like almost impossible to see where the bullets are going

shotguns either 1 tap a guy across continents, or fail to kill point blank center of mass

Somebody pointed out that because of sub-tick rates, your muscle memory might be throwing you off. Say you're strafing and holding A then press D to stop and shoot. On CS:GO 144 tick, you could do this all on the same tick, so even if you were a millisecond or 2 off, it still happens at the same time. But on CS2 since the sub ticks are tracking what you press EXACTLY when you do, it's actually giving an order to your actions. So on the same tick you can still shoot before you stop strafing, throwing off your aim. I am repeating somebody else's explanation, but what he said made a lot of sense so I think it's at least worth thinking about

I got a GTX 970, but I managed to get ~300 fps at best with an average range of 240-160 fps in CSGO. For CS2 I've managed to get 120 at the highest, but it usually stays around 100-90 fps on the lowest settings (excluding resolution and the Fidelity FX setting)-with stutters/drops to 30-40 in certain circumstances. The game feels ridiculously smooth and better than before, but I do agree with the sentiment of wanting a higher fps 'cause I miss having at the minimum 144 fps in-game.

I feel your struggle with hit reg. It's so different compared to csgo and I couldn't hit my shots at all. Then one night, I got drunk with my friends on discord and played some valorant. I was hitting most of my shots in cs2 the next day, it's like something clicked all of a sudden.

There are some videos about it that prove that the inaccurate aiming is not due to the player, but actually due to the game performance. If you take a look at the research, you'll see that CS GO is much more optimized and Valve still has a lot to change if they want players to enjoy this game.

my biggest gripe with cs2 is the subtick system is NOT optimized for high ping. its fucking infuriating to miss shots that should hit and get killed from behind cover

it makes me livid that you can still go back and play 1.6 or source but now csgo is just actually gone, cs2 really just feels ever so slightly off that it’s infuriating the fact it’s practically csgo yet it’s not and i don’t even plan on giving it another chance til they add cache back

idk in my opion 240 hz screens uneccery luxury. I had tried to play on 300hz laptop in csgo. Pretty deceant to play on 150, but everything above is insensibly and more "blurry". It's just type of drugs, so addiction to smoothnes made you update your PC every year

in csgo I used to get above 60 fps on the lowest settings and resolution which made my game not look be best but it was playable now on cs2 I get like 40 to 50 fps

Everybody hits headshots now, I have no fucking clue how. People with the worst aim are insta headshoting and I am missing every single bullet because the game feels weird. Thank you for agreeing with me neok, I thought I was the only one. I once missed my shot with a scout on a guy but it still registered as a headshot. Idk wats going with cs2 and headshots.

probably just gotta get used to the lack of 1 frame thread lag. that always made my aim worse in csgo but now in cs2 my aim feels just like it does in the aim trainers and all the other games i play

2:17 THIS KIND OF SH*T was happening unlimited number of times in CS:GO. And despite the fact I was feeling good in this game (I was sure about my aim), sometimes I just was resigning of 1v1 with enemy because I thought my bullets were ephemeral. In CS2 I don't feel like that.

1:36 Nah you should be, I play on 165hz after playing 30 my whole life and its game changing, but its worse than 30fps if you constantly dip frames because one second its smooth the next you're missing over half your frames and it fucks with your game

What i think is kinda funny is that i was global in CSGO , made my 10 games to get ranked made 10 wins droped an average of 150-160 ADR and got ranked at 2000 MR lol

At least there will be more pros using shotgun from now on. Shotguns are supposed to be deadly, with moderation 2 to 3 shots from afar for a frag. But those misses from rifles earlier by the enemy team are just skill issue lmao

My hardware is kind of old (980ti and Ryzen 5 3600x) and I still get over the 144hz threshold constantly so I’m happy that it runs over 144. Anything more than that is just numbers really

I have the biggest potato laptop on which I could bearly run csgo but I cant even physically play cs2 now because i get 20 fps or less and my screen freezes whenever i see an enemy. Guess I'll be playing minesweeper from now on

Neok, there is a big difference in spray pattern between CSGO and CS2. In CSGO I couldn't over 15 kills in comp games, now on CS2 I drop almost everytime 25+, just because I feel the spray better and can control my shooting better. Everyone has a different approach to the new spray system.

Recently I was feeling the same with my aim ! I'm definetly much worse in skill, than you are, but I feel like my shots been worse than in cs:go, I have no clue, what might be the reason :/

resetting my config got me almost double the frames, so idk what is stuck in legacy configs, so yeah

Even If one gets 60FPS avg you'll still see drops, like on avg I get around 150-160 but it consistently drops to 90-110 while taking a fight or depends on which part of the map I am not to mention DMs

Kinda hate it still just cause csgo was meant to play on lower end computers and still compete with the best, now that cs2 is out and even thought I have every setting on low, it just won’t run on my laptop, hopefully that change once I get my pc fixed
