CS2'S Biggest Update Yet is Awesome (Here's What You Need to Know) 

Tech major here. A command queue, at least as far as I'm aware, is just like a list of things the server needs to process. With the subtick system, commands get processed on the tick, but are executed in the order they occurred. From the patch note, I'm assuming that there were cases where the command queue would get so long that the client would not properly render an enemy's movement because of how many commands were executed, making the peeker's advantage feel massive. This is probably what was happening in some of those clips where people die with nobody on their screen. It may still happen in some cases with other bugs, we'll have to see, but it seems like Valve identified this as a major cause and fixed this specific scenario.

turning off the tracers is so huge, i feel just like my spray is in csgo. maybe its just the confidence boost but it feels so good to spray for me personally

I’m glad that the new update it out but I was hoping for some private matches to come back. It was one of my favorites things to do in csgo was play against friends.

They also changed the view of skins in the steam mobile app, before they looked like in csgo, now they look like in cs2.

It's not mentioned but they also changed the bomb sound and, to me at least, it's easier to tell if it's on A or B site

How do you move the sitcker when trying to apply it? cant move after like 3 secs after clicking "apply sticker" it wont let me move it lmao

Also, if you fire the zeus and drop it to recharge, you can kind of use it like a decoy.

They also heavy nerfed ninja defuses. You can see people inside smokes if you're also inside.

I had the same experience when I first started playing. My first 100 hours or so were all on Arms Race so it is very nostalgic for it to come back in CS2. I noticed that there is an additional map in the main menu when you choose the background for your character called Warehouse. Anyone have any idea what that could be about? Future map maybe?

The added mic settings are a massive thing for me - I've constantly had mic issues (no mic registering) since the game launched. Spent hours in-game and in windows trying to fix it (teammates could not hear me) and with no solution. Tried different mics and still had the same issue.

Update had issues with the freezing so they came out with another mini update Thursday night to fix it. Would have 400 fps, 7 ping and freeze specially when you had a nade out

this update tanked my fps down to about 5. i found that unplugging my mic made the game much better like 40-50 fps but still unplayable. went from about 150fps to 5 with the update. someone please tell me how to fix it i already miss playing cs. If anyone knows what to do id like to hear it. It has something to do with the mic i think but im not good enough with computers to figure it out on my own.

after playing some comp, definitly feels like the movement has been sacrificed a bit for better gunplay. I was having trouble making some jumps and kept getting stuck on some map geometry more than before the update. Also, this might be pure placebo for me, but I like turning off my tracers. It forces my brain to not focus on where the bullets are going but to remember the spray pattern of the gun. It takes some getting used to and I feel like it only works with the AK and M4s for me right now. Just need to practice sprays more.

i dont think the zeus is that much buffed cuz when the recharges to full, it makes a noise even when not in hand and gives away your position

it`s not a huge upgrade for Zeus to have it recharging its just a way to make the skins for it make more sense. If you are in position to use Zeus you either kill someone and take their gun or if you miss you are 100% dead there is just no way that you would need to use it more than once

Dev here, yea it's basically just a programming pattern that game devs often use in OOP languages in order to turn procedures into objects. Basically what happens is every single action gets turned into an object, those objects are iterated over and then its decided from there what happens and when. So likely they are using this pattern as the "dungeon master" of the match for lack of a better metaphor.

Im hoping DangerZone is next to return. That to me was the perfect battle royale mode. In PUBG you could be wandering around for 30 minutes and die without firing a shot whereas danger zone was pure action.

Smoke looks nice but I got killed through smoke without even seeing a single bit of the enemy, 7 times in 3 different match. I have no idea why or how. The opponents were not hacking that for sure. Must be something with this new smoke.

As a retired CS player, I've only been playing mostly deathmatch on my macbook using Whisky (like Wine for macOS). Before this update I was able to achieve 200 to 300-ish fps with minor stutters, however now everytime I hit a stutter is like I'm gliding on oil for a few seconds and it's really annoying. Had to dust off my old Windows PC just to find out the performance went down on Windows quite a lot too.

The new knife is the most “Valorant” feel knife. I wish they make it NOT appear out of no where.

I'm disappointed the Zeus skin isn't just Zeus, just a Zeus acting like a Zeus.

CS2 can potentially be the game of the year if they fix the cheating problems.
