Compressed Stabilized Earth Blocks are manufactured by Auroville Earth Institute in Auroville near Pondicherry, India. They use very little cement and mostly insitu soil to make the blocks without firing them as been done with the conventional bricks. These blocks are much stronger than the fired bricks and infact do not even require to be plastered as they can stand the elements.
