Hello there. I am from Nepal. I am giving final year dental exam and I cannot explain in words how helpful your videos are being. Thankyou so much for your efforts. Love from Nepal. Stay safe
blood being more viscous than csf, it pushes csf to the peripheries. so blood is in the center..if you have any standard text book reference, please let me know that
Amazing explanation. Sir, If a patient with csf rhinorrea/post nasal drip was to under go epidural blood patching for the intercranial hypotension, is it possible for the injected blood to escape and drain into the mouth? Could the patient theoretically taste it? Could someone with cranial csf leak taste blood after an epidural blood patch? I am awaiting a skull and spine MRI to see if they can see any defects in the bone of the skull or any spine issues that could cause csf leakage. My last MRI had enhancement of meninges and brain sag and I had a blood patch done. I have clear, watery, salty fluid dripping post nasally. Its very irritating. Irritating that it's dripping but also very irritating especially if it dries in the nasal cavities. Thank you from England
@@bhupendrasingharora6183 Before the blood patch I had a horrific headache. The blood patch helped it. Now I only get a headache if I leak too much fluid from my nose.
Sir i got csf leakage 2 months back. After 10 days it stopped automatic. Till now i did not get any symptoms of csf. Is it cured automatic or it will come back again?
As I notice in this video one thing is wrong that in u will get SWEET TASTE IN CSF RHINORRHOEA AND SALTY TASTE IN ALLERGIC RHINITIS. SO FOR DIAGNOSIS OF CSF RHINORRHOEA AS DIAGNOSIS,WE WILL TAKE HISTORY OF SWEET TASTE.
The fluid can taste salty but still be high in sugar. Even though it contains glucose, its still not really enough to taste unless you have very high blood sugar. Most people taste salty/metallic but sweet can be also tasted. It depends on the person. A salty taste shouldn't stop you looking for csf rhinorrea.
