My first real train horn, an Ex- CSX Transitional era K5LA from GP35 road slug #2235. Transition era meaning it was manufactured when Airchime was phasing out the wide font backcaps for narrow font (around late 1989 to 1990), yet still retains the 80s style bell castings. But here it is in crisp YN2 blue and running on my newly complete 27 gallon air setup. Enjoy!

Ya right, there twins.Mine bells #3, #4 where reversed. Yours had the blue bonnets to. And I will say horns sound much better in the dark. Great Chanel.

Thanks! I bought it from @TheHornKing and apparently came from the CSX Cumberland shops

@@Traincraft101Cool that you got a horn from Dillon! I think this could be the transition era K5LA he had with CDFs on the bells at one point. Now the next step is putting a 1/8” base restrictor in the manifold. Nah just kidding!

@@Traincraft101 Oh that's awesome that he still has his as well! I've been adding to my tiny horn collection. I just bought a Westinghouse D-5 subway horn for $40 (Absolute bargain). There's no better feeling than receiving a new horn in the mail!
