Two minutes of the GEVO-12 engine in CSX's Louisville & Nashville heritage unit, ES44AH number 1850, idling. Also included are some air compressor sounds. The unit was trailing on the soon-to-depart Q456 manifest freight, which would leave Taft for Waycross in a few hours' time. My first heritage unit...and that includes the NS and UP ones!
Filmed on Thursday, August 31st, 2023, in Orlando, Florida.

So cool! I love that they did the slant letters. Love the video! I have a few videos of the Seaboard System & Chessie locos. Some years ago the NS heritage units would come into Alliance to load coal. That was low hanging fruit for the picking. ;) I have some videos of those also.

I'm just happy CSX has started to do these, since I'm far more likely to run into them than I ever was the NS units, heh.

I'm lucky as the NS is 20 miles south of me at Princeton, IN and I live right beside the CSX Chicago-Nashville main.@@SpeakerPolice

If I had to guess, I'd say they just left whatever horns were on the units before painting them lol. This one was built in 2012
