Long CSX Q416 mixed manifest freight train pulls west underneath a northbound Norfolk Southern mixed freight 12R in Shenandoah Junction, West Virginia. Locomotives: CSX 3300(GE ET44AH), CSX 8598(EMD SD50-2 ex-SBD), CSX 8542(EMD SD50-2 ex- SBD), CSX 8639(EMD SD50 ex- C&O), CSX 8548(EMD SD50-2 ex- SBD), CSX 8578(EMD SD50 ex- C&O), CSX 79(GE AC44CW), NS 9657(GE C40-9W), & CSX 894(GE ES44AC-H) And NS 9699(GE C40-9W), & NS 9953(GE C40-9W). CSX Had lot of Engines with a dpu and that’s a long mixed freight train and Norfolk Southern had 3 engines on the bridge both carrying mixed freight

Another GREAT catch with a bonus NS train, (what a timeing, those are lucky and happy moments in life)! Well, CSX is reduced it's locomotive fleet, SD80MAC, gone, SD70ACe,gone, AC6000 gone, C40-8s almost gone! SD50s ? When traffic once again increase they're going to need some new ones, ST70AH could be the solution, we'll see... Thanks for sharing! P.S. was that AC4400CW dead in towing, or also pulling the train?🐊👍🤘

Well this is cool... 3300 is the same engine that led Q372 on the OML (the first train I caught like a month ago), and 894 (the engine in the middle) is one of the engines in your video called "CSX plays Musical Train Engines"

Not too heavy, but close, it has a lot of empties, and a lot of steel, SD50s are derated and it's like you have a GP units, lead & midhelper can cope easily with the additional EMDs, I don't think I have heard AC4400 working though! Nice train!

Yep, you guessed it. I'm no expert, but it is known that GE locomotives don't have the greatest turbocharger setup. They love to blow out their seals and pump oil into the exhaust, thus causing them to burn or even cause the engine to run away as it is called.
