They have a spot in Pittsburgh where you get stuck between CSX line to Baltimore and NS Harrisburg line. Most people would be agitated by it. I was fascinated.

I've recorded along those same parallel lines at that same crossing, Irving, NY, Erie, PA, Wickliffe, OH, etc. and haven't even witnessed a 3-way yet. This catch is legendary. Great job, railfan!!
The NS W09 was a cool really long mixed freight. I'm not sure I've ever seen two different helper units on the same train before. Throw in the meet and it's awesome! 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤
I just realized I grew up along these same two lines, but about 100 miles west in Geneva, Ohio. Seeing you between the lines brought back all those memories! This is fantastic!

Mr. Tupolev, you also missed a BNSF engine, between the 2 NS, and the UP engines. I'm not sure, because it was hard to make out, But I think it was a 9-44 C series, or newer.

O:40 You are at the Temple Road crossing when Norfolk Southern train #W09 comes around the curve down the tracks heading west. 3:00 You panned from the Norfolk Southern tracks to the CSX tracks to show us that CSX train #Q368 is approaching the Temple Road crossing which is also known as CSX Control Point (Mile Post) 42. This train had a mid-train DPU. CSX train #Q368 was a mixed freight train. 4:45 Norfolk Southern train finishes passing the Temple Road crossing. While CSX train #Q368 is still going past the Temple Road crossing. 6:09 We hear a horn from a westbound CSX double stack with auto racks train coming toward the Temple Road crossing. 7:54 The westbound CSX double stack train with auto racks finishes passing the Temple Road crossing. 9:16 CSX train #Q368 finishes crossing Temple Road and a short time later we hear the CSX defect detector at Mile Post 42.6 say that there were no defects on the train on track #2 i.e. CSX train #Q368. 9:57 After CSX train #Q368 passes, you pan back to the west and see that another CSX train is coming toward the Temple Road crossing. Nice meet and a DPU Alright! Then train 3 - very nice! And train 4 sneaks in followed by train 5. Today was WWOT Day!! There was probably some smoke coming off the tracks after all those trains went by :)
For 2021 amazing. Just think 60 years ago there would have been at least 4 passenger trains in addition. Probably more freights cause they were shorter and more diverse. This time of year coal and iron ore plus tank car trains. Old NYC was real busy
@@WideWorldofTrains I live in Lappeenranta, Finland (city centre) and there is an old train track that still has trains moving through, but very seldomly. I happened to spot one coming back from work. It was a couple winters ago i think. :)
Great catch! May this be the harbringer of things to come this year! I had a similar experience in the distant past! Many years ago I was parked by the Goodman St. Yard in Rochester. So long ago, it was still Conrail, in fact. The yard was being actively switched and several trains came by on the main in rapid succession. Suddenly, the perfect stranger parked to my left rolled down his passenger window and yelled, " What is this, fuckin' Chicago? "

Always impressed with the camera hd, I’m trying to upload again but I work a lot, plus mine is still skippy in certain parts of it, one of the reasons I hardly have interest in filming again
Thanks it really wasn't a compilation, all 5 trains came within 20 minutes and I had the camera on the whole time. I only shut the camera off to save space on the memory between the 3rd and 4th train
