Thanks for posting. I was out for an Evening walk quite a few years back and had just left the Inbound Platform of The Reading's Oak Lane Commuter Station in suburban Philadelphia. when a local freight came through at a good clip. I was about 200 feet away when I heard a loud crash. Something had come loose on a freight car and completely demolished the T-shelter at the North end of the Inbound Platform. I'm still here! But I've learned to give trains plenty of leeway. You never know what may be sticking out or coming loose.
It looks like the ribs of the cars are hitting the sign. It's just to close. Why didn't you just pull the sign away from the track 3-4" to get it more lead way.
Reminds me of a Delay in Block Productions' video of CSX's Office car special nailing an approach board ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mZXLBPsrMKs.html at roughly 11:55
OKS !!!! I'll take a wild guess that the sign has a signal light on top ,,is it a warning light hooked up to indicate the cars that are out of alignment with the rest ??? If you look at the videos from Dave(ccrx6700) on the derailment of the coal cars & ""DPU"" at end of train ,,then this sign would help with that issue !!! ""KEEP IT SAFE ""!!!
Lol, I can agree. Dave sure posts some excellent videos with a safety orientation through it all. As CSX Foreman F.T. Smith used to say to every train that went through his work authorities, "Have yourself a safe now and forever."
