Hey, out of all of the CTL guys I’ve listened to on your channel recently, this guy Greg, was the best.... You can tell that he’s got his finger on the pulse with the guys in the industry and that he’s actually done time in the seat.... Yes we do want some cheap 2 d grade systems, if we can figure them out to work and they pay for them selves, we might be convinced to spend more money on 3D .... keep the vids up....
Nick I love feedback like this. There's definitely a difference in folks who might know specs or behind the scenes stuff, but it's definitely cool when we can talk to someone who can do that and speak to what guys out in the field are contending with on a daily basis. This was interesting, this new CTL looks quite competitive the biggest problem it has is it's a John Deere product and there views on ownership have been real unpleasant and disappointing ( look up the current issue if your unaware long story short John Deere believes they still own the equipment even after you buy it and only they can work on it) and with the amount of quality alternatives out there it would look for a alternative imo
I like what JD & CASE are doing one guy can haul two small grading machine in one. I worked for a paving contractor and spent a lot of the day hauling out a Grader and a backhoe Plus a HUBER belly grader. For paving prep. I have seen the Big paver company spend money on these Backhoe set ups with a BOX spreader on back of machine instead of Backhoe. For the corner parking space, or the Landscape tree planter come out in parking lots. Where a GRADER can't spread gravel to grade. The operator always having to look behind him to grade out those single parking spots. These skid steers with 6 way blade can grade those spots so, so much better I have been on meany a job site where a contractor is trying to grade with his OWN skid steer. He just bought one machine, for moving material, moving garbage to dumpster, ect. The FACT that he can now fine grade with this one machine weather he Likes and buys JD or CASE. He can now do both, without having to buy a bigger truck to haul a small dozer( expensive) to own for just final grade work, and haul another piece of equipment around.
