cTrix - Sega Genesis / Megadrive - 2019 - Live (dark) experimental show w/ surround viz 

For those interested, I'm working on a guide to instrument programming on the Genesis / Megadrive including some of the so called "undocumented" parts which are actually in the original Japanese chip spec datasheets for the YM chip; just not in the Sega doc. It's half recorded.

I'm just coming around to watching this, roughly a month late. Welp. Made some snacks beforehand, and have cold witbier (Hoegaarden white ale, nice and smooth), since I saw your twitterfeed. Thought it would be appropriate to cover as much of the senses as possible. I love it when vj and performer are on the same wavelength, and deliver a very cohesive experience. You two were awesome together! Still, gonna split up the commentary for both of you, since you deserve your own spotlight. Visuals were very appropriate for the aural texture, even on short term. Most VJ's deliver a nice experience over an evening, but the scene transitions are often either not very coordinated / mood-synced with the music, or on a preset interval. Not the case here. You were right on top of it, and it shows. Fantastic! And you're juggling 5 screens as well, and delivering unique and varied content on all of 'em. Massive respect! As for the aural part; Honestly, I'm a bit shook. That is a lot of sonic quality in (let's be honest) a way too small cartridge! You're pulling out every last bit of capability out of that ol' FM chip, and it's blended nicely together with samples. Fantastic variety in genres as well. This'll go straight into the coding bgm folder! Are you by chance selling carts? I've got a souped up MK1 that is begging for some nice music! I wish the C64 community had more adoption of the FM-Yam, but besides 4mat, lemming and xentax, not a whole lot of people are adopting it's sound :( Anyway, I'll leave it at this, 'cause I could type a whole wall of text about this performance, but nobody likes those.. Cheers!

Fantastic set! Wish you would release a vinyl with some Mega Drive powered tracks on it. One thing though: do you only rely on the YM2612 here or do you also use the Mega Drive secondary chip the SN76496?
