Cub cadet push mower SC 500 HW Will not start after sitting all winter. Easy fix. 

Any chance there are Lawn Mower Repair Enthusiasts like this in Southeast Michigan? I have a Snapper mower that has a problem, but nobody will work on it. They all say, "With our labor rate, you should buy something new." I'd be glad to let someone out there use the mower in a video.

this was very helpful,thank you. It is difficult to find a video for a cub cadet mower that is not for a rider mower. I knew there was something wrong with the linkage and the spring for the governor and the choke, but I couldn't tell what it was, your video explained what everything was and how it all fit together .

I have the exact same model, garage kept and use Stabil with fuel. First 2 years worked well, last month wouldn't start. Changed the plug and nothing. A tech installed the tester and it fired right up. Worked fine with tester removed now it is very slow starting. Will have to do this same thing you did. Thank you.

I was way off on my guess o well maybe next time. Thanks for the video I just got one myself same brain but it's a little smaller size 6L but I have learned a lot on them to filling it full with water then you can put your parts in a container with the clening stuff you save on the clening stuff an you don't have to clean out your mushen and you can use hevy duty zip lock bags to. I have put wingnuts in a zip lock bag an 1/2cup cleaner i ran it for 10 minutes temperature at 110 f i was wow they was clean like they was new the cleaner that is in the bag is black what's nice i only used a 1/2 cup of the cleaner to do the job when i was dune i put the old cleaner in a container to store it in and i put the bag in trash im happy.

I have an older model 2013 but looks very similar, I was replacing the speed control cable and the spring fell out of the speed control assembly and I cannot figure out how that spring goes back in, any help would be appreciated.

you could probably drop an order of fries in that thing when you're not cleaning a carb.

I have one of these it started fine and I had to shut it down to talk and when I pulled to start back up the cord locked up it won't pull but it pulled and started 10 min before fine . So I took the top off and it pulls but when I bolt it back down it's locked up again . What happened?

Hey I went through everything like you just did. And everything checks out. But it will only start and run for a few seconds only when I pour gas directly into carb
