It seems that the Cuban sound engineers are quite good at their craft... You should listen to Rick Wakeman's live concert Made in Cuba (also here in RU-vid) exquisite... Also Cuban musicians are quite good as said by the members of the Dead Daisies... "music flows in the streets"

I was working on creating curriculum before the start of the school year ‘21-‘22. Tedious work, but Simply Red lifted my spirits and allowed me to finish. I am so happy to have rediscovered them. Now, I cannot get enough of them.

Ich bin von diesem schönen Konzert überwältigt. Selbst schon 63 Jahre alt, habe ich Mick Hucknall als junger Mensch immer bewundert und ich tue es heute noch. Und hier: Was für ein schönes Theater, was für ein tolles Orchester mit all' den schönen Menschen, und das Ballett natürlich nicht zu vergessen. was für ein zugeneigtes Publikum, die, fast schon Evergreens, unvergeßlichen überaus melodischen Songs von Mick. Am Ende war es dann soweit "If you don't know me by now" und meine Tränen rannen. Ich wäre so gerne dabei gewesen. Tausend Dank an Euch alle aus Berlin!

I'm 39 from Bosnia and I know most of this songs from my childhood, despite war and shit with not having electricity some of these songs hit the charts. Few years ago I found out Mick and I share the birthday and I atribute that to the fact he's one of the few mellow acts I can listen, being into little bit heavier music in my youth. But Symply Red is world known and widely loved band.

As a singer and performer, this is a masterclass in every aspect of singing, stage performance, arrangement, sound and video production. I´ve always admired him, but was expecting the usual deterioration of the voice that usually comes with aging. His mastery of his instrument has actually improved. His dynamics and expressiveness combined with flawless technique is sooooooo inspiring. Simply Beautiful!

Thats awesome, I'm 70 and still enjoy listening, I actually got hooked when I was watching MIAMI VICE (back in the day w/Don Johnson) they played a song in one of the episodes which was "Picture Book" and I saw at the end, the credits said music by Simply Red...and bingo I started listening to all his music, and my kids now love him too, and my grandaughter..his music is amazing! Went to 2 of his concerts in Los Angeles. He's a blessing to the music industry. Music is Life

I am amazed at how the Cuban audience is so respectful. There is no yelling and screaming whistling people up dancing around. Although they did make most of this concert just him singing acapella with a minimum of musical accompaniment. So different from say. which I just watched.. Live at Trafford.... which i just watched. Watched so much of this for so long I can sing most of it by heart. What an awesome band. OK I can see at the end after they crank the music up then people in the audience start dancing...... how could you not??

Me he encontrado este concierto de casualidad. Y me resulta......raro!!!!! La Habana? El Gran Teatro de la Habana , epicentro del Son , la guaracha y el Cabaret con un concierto de una banda inglesa y su musica soul? con un piano de cola legendario cubano , acariciado por un ingles? musicos cubanos de escuela con ejecuciones idilicas. Y un ingreso propio de caribe..... sencillamente APOTEOSICO!!!!!!!!!! Una combinacion explosiva!!!!! Bien por Cuba!!!!!!!!!!! un publico culto, respetuoso , conocedor de la musica. Mis respetos!!!!!

I echo everything you say. Would you believe me if I told you I sat at 12 pm tonight and started humming a song with 2 words and a few notes I remembered. It bugged me so much that I couldnt remember the artist or more words to search on you tube. I went to something that felt similar and knew it wasnt right. Next thing this was suggested. I was totally amazed that this was exactly what I hummed. Unbelievably exquisite performance. I cant believe his voice is so amazing...the jazz feel the romantic tension..smooth ..i can carry on. This was a special gift to me from the Lord tonight.

This is the epitome of Simply Red's performances. I've been to many and this is the best by far. The choreography in the dance sequences was breath taking.

Wow! the acoustics are amazing for this old theater! Everything is perfect, musicians are impeccable and I loved the Cuban flavor added to the songs that set the mood.

He's not underrated imo, it's just there are a lot more artists now but Mick has always been there. As an 80s child I've always been a fun of his and really nice to see he's still going strong 💪! One of those artists who transcends race, genres and generations. I just love 💘❤ him!

Mick always sings from the soul and over the years always listen to band in my car to keep me remembering the beauty of life and love with stories of faith and forgiveness. So uplifting ,poetic and innocent. I'm 52 now and thankful to simply red for their contribution to my life. So much talent and Mick your vocals never disappoint. I have seen him in Seattle about 30 years ago, and recently I stumbled upon this video. What a treat! I love music and saw many concerts, and sometimes I was a bit disappointed seeing my idols not performing the way they used to. In this case, the band just got better. Great music, great musicians, great performance!

I was on the edge of death August 31st 2019...I made it and here I am a year later about to celebrate another year of life happier and healthier than ever...My Birthday is September 28th, this couldn't have come at a better time! I saw Simply Red in Houston Texas in the 80's a young girl of only 13..both my twin and I were the only one's who got up from our seats in the theatre walked closer to the front of the stage and danced the remainder of the concert... This was the first concert and only concert I've ever been to...never had the desire to see anyone else! If he/they decided to come back to America I'd be the first to buy a ticket!! My twin died when we were 18 but how sweet that memory would be rekindled!!! Mick's voice has never faultered...timeless...flawless...soulful ...and humble! Simply beautiful!!! Thank you Mick ❤ So glad you've found happiness in your marriage and have been blessed with a beautiful daughter!

Phenomenal guy and that voice so beautiful. I first heard him when I was in my late 20s and man I just loved him and still listening at 58 years old. Outstanding Performance. Cuba your so lucky.
