Cubase Quick Tip: Match Audio Tempo to Track BPM (And MIDI) 

I just don't get it. sometimes it works, another time it freaks me the fuck out when it does not work at all and create a chaos. Even a monkey can follow your instructions yet it just does not work with my samples. the original bpm of the samples is 111bpm so my track is 11bpm so that is covered. Then i put the vocals on musical mode and they change speed. it's crazy.

@Talking Leaf Meda, Can you explain to me (if you know) Why my audio shrinks when I put it into musical mode? It changes BPM on itself... I am not able to continue if I can not get this to work. Your help will be immensely appreciated.

When I import an audio file ( 124 Tempo ) it matches the Cubase click but when I activate Musical mode the length of the clip gets shorter and don't match the click tempo anymore???? This makes it impossible to change the tempo and retaining sync with other tracks !

One thing with musical mode that no one mentions: throughout my cubase experience with several versions of cubase on a number of macs I always had to bounce audio before applying musical mode. The only exception being that the audio track was completely untouched - e.g. without audio quantise. When I try to switch into musical mode without bouncing first, I get weird bugs - for example my audio track is suddenly at bar 2576 (when before it was at bar 2).

Hello Talking Leaf Media, I am wondering if you may have a solution to my problem, I purchased a midi file from a sheet music transcription service and the file plays great in the computer, when I put it in my Roland keyboard it plays way too slow, I adjust the tempo to max 250 but is still way too slow I complained they sped it up but it made no difference, something about Daw and running through Cubase I heard can help, I don't have these options, hope you can help if too much trouble I can understand await your reply with thanks

How do we change the project tempo to match audio import tempo?

How can you change the tempo of the project while not affecting the audio tracks? Like for example I loaded in a drum WAV file that was at a certain tempo and recorded the guitars to it but didn’t change the bpm on the tempo marker in Cubase so when I go to use the metronome the click is super out of sync with the drum track
