I love the field of dreams game so much, the game was a bit of the dud (with there being no home runs in the corn and overall not that much action) but I feel games like this help us remember that sport isn’t just about winning. There’s a real magic to it.

Outstanding stuff. What a genuinely heartfelt event. I think I'm going to play catch with my dad... just as soon as he gets back with the milk.

As a lifelong Cubs fan, Lord knows I've been through many more downs than ups but hey, I'll grasp at any straw I can and say that teams from Chicago have won every FoD game played (so far). Cheers....

That old school TV scoreboard looks better than the new MLB on FOX scoreboard.

I hope MLB continue the Field of Dreams games for future mlb seasons and future generations to come.

It's so difficult to explain to other Brazilians, that have only the soccer as a main and pratical unique sport to cheer, how fantastic and special baseball is! what Contreras did to his ankle is exactly what I happens to me occasionally when I’m skateboarding and it hurts really bad and is uncomfortable and scary but then ends up being fine to walk on like a few minutes later

I thoroughly enjoy the Field of Dreams games. It’s one of the only games I am willing to watch no matter who is playing (I watch game highlights). Cubs did an amazing job, congratulations on their win in Iowa!

Every Mlb team should play in the field of dreams. The fact that fathers and sons, and families bond like no other when baseball is the key. Cmon Mlb let the kids(mlb players in general) Play!

While I love the nostalgia and romanticism of baseball, I wasn't feeling it between two of the worst teams in baseball. Having said that, Smyly was dealing tonight. Good to see that Contreras was able to shake off that horrible looking injury.

This years game was ok but last years Yankees white Sox Feild of dreams gm was way better

I'm glad the Cubs were able to jump out to the start that did. I loved everything about the game, and I'm going to look forward to this every year. These are two teams that hope to be playing meaningful games in August in a couple years, and both have some good young prospects. Go Cubs 💪

If they ever let Cleveland participate in this, I wonder if the uniforms would be the Cleveland Naps or the Cleveland Blues. Or if they really want to get spicy, the Cleveland Spiders, calling back to Cy Young.

Nothing beats the field of dreams game from last year in 2021 (Yankees vs White Sox - Tim Anderson walk off) but this was a solid game by the 2 oldest teams in Baseball in the Reds & Cubs👍

These 2 teams are bureaucrats. They know they’re finished & they’re not doing anything this year so they should be focused on giving us what we want & hitting HR into the cornfield. But after they’re already done is when they decide they’re gonna try & actually win games. They’ve disrespected the game & the entire fanbase. They don’t care about the fans, the game or the legacy. All they wanted was the paycheck & they got it. The Reds & the Cubs are officially the lowest forms of life on the behind of a 1st class league like Major League Baseball. Next time, give us 2 teams who actually respect the fans, the game & the legacy & who are actually going to contend for a title. It will be a lot better game than that. While it was nowhere near as incredible as the first iteration, it was nice to see MLB revive this for another year. As a lifelong Braves fan, hopefully we can get a game at FoD soon.

I saw this game was on FuboTV, I decided not to watch it because I thought it was a normal game, I did not know it was the field of dreams game today, I really wish I saw this game because I was looking forward to it, but at least I get to watch the highlights on RU-vid, but I really wanted to watch it live on TV

A dream that it was once a game and not a greed pot. Griffey Sr., played with Hall of Famers, Griffey Jr., a Hall of Famer who led the Reds no place. No nostalgia there. Always nice to see Johnny Bench. I guess Pete Rose was still in Philly.

Fun fact. The only two teams to win these games were from Chicago! (White Sox 2021, Cubs 2022).

I heard the " Harry Caray" was supposed to be a hologram. He looked pretty human to me. He might've been wearing tons of makeup and a wig but be looked as close to human as Caray did with those glasses.
