I just used this cooker for the first time today. Thank you so much for the instructions. I read it all and then started the rice cooking. It just seemed so easy, I thought I missed a step. 😆
Thank you for this well done, informative video, Ken! It inspired me to purchase one, and SOOOOO glad I did!! I've had mine a couple of weeks now. It makes the BEST and most CONSISTANTLY best, rice I've ever made. I mostly make brown rice and had the same struggles. NO more! Makes it WAY better than my old rice cooker. I cook plain rice, but also flavored rice, with cumin and green chilis. I also make perfectly cooked rolled oats oatmeal, though not with the porridge setting. That function I believe is actually for making Asian rice porridge. I cook the oatmeal with the "slow cook" function and set the timer for 1 hour. You can even program it to have the oatmeal ready when you wake up, and it will keep warm without burning or drying out. Best ever! If you don't have an hours' time to cook it, you might as well use microwave oatmeal. Excellent appliance, and I'm sure I'll find many more ways to use it. I use it almost every day in some capacity, and the value for the cost is excellent.
Nice solid unboxing and review . It can be hard to find a real review on youtube , you're bombarded with paid advertisements and influencers who barely show the product . They're more focused on their make-up and hair flipping and posing in the sunlight and showing off their cubic zirconia encrusted gold plated rice paddle lol . Thank you .
Amazing review just bought mine couple of weeks ago have used it 4 times only white rice so far. Love this machine. Don’t know how to use the my menu yet but thinking sometime soon.
Have you tried basmati rice in this cooker? Also the maximum amount of rice you can get from this model is 6 cups cooked correct? Do you think that would feed a family of 4 (older teenage children) or would it not be enough?
Thank u a very nice review. May I ask how much u bought this for? Also- thank u for the using separate bowl to rinse the rice to not scratch. I never thought of that. Thank u
Found one at a thrift store. When I put white rice in and closed the lid, it automatically started cooking for brown rice and I couldn't cancel it. Is this normal or is the rice cooker broken? :(
Excellent video! I haven't used mine yet but expect much better results over my old "dumb" rice cooker. One thing the booklet never explained was whether the measurement lines are water only or with the rice already added. Thanks to your video I see it's rice in first, then add water second yup to correct line. Do you rinse with cold or warm water?
to the 1 cup line. if there's no line, it's generally 1:1 or 1.5 depending on the type of rice, however many machines have a 'minimum' amount that works otherwise the rice is spread too thin across the bottom.
I love your videos!!! Btw, I was wondering if you could make me a Pokémon card. It was my birthday and didn’t receive anything. If you can’t then it’s okay! I had an image in mind too.
