Anytime i prune my cucumber plant, the whole plant goes into shock and dies.

I have no rules at all but surprisingly every year i get amazing yield. Mine is not in the greenhouse though, it’s out in the veg garden. I use only organic cow manure.Thats it ,must be sheer luck.😊

My cucumber vines are growing very nicely. It started flowering two weeks ago but I noticed that 90% of the flowers are male. Is there anything I can do to have more female flowers? My second question is that I'm growing my cucumbers in my greenhouse but last year most of my plants died when they started to bear fruit. For an unknown reason they started to wilt and eventually died. At first I thought it may be the watering, but after watering it still did not help and in the end all of them died. This year I'm growing them in a different location in the greenhouse, despite taking every possible care (e.g. watering and fertilising) two of my plants died like last year. It seems like they cannot take any direct sun in the morning, can you please give me some advice?
