Orange is the New Black season 7 episode 11. First that scene with the phone and the kids, and then that ending with this song. A lot of tears were shed this episode, and my my heart was aching by the end.

I was very impressed that Orange is the New Black added the immigration story to the final season. Kudos to the writers. Educating others about the inhumanity of it all is vital. Tear jerking season. And, the Poussey Washington Fund- outstanding! ❤️

A Diaspora is a migration of large groups of people who bring their culture with them and fuse it with the existing culture. As far as I remember from history it was the Spanish who colonized Mejico? Hence my expression.

When I lived in Mexico for a year I heard a mariachi woman sing this song and it was absolutely beautiful she was wearing her Mariachi dress and the Mariachis were absolutely perfect and I cried the first time I heard it in this version is absolute perfection I will never forget seen her singing live and then hearing this one and hearing the beautiful voices I want to teach this to my granddaughter!❤❤❤❤❤
