Cucuzza squash - in Italy it's also called "serpente di Sicilia" which means "snake of Sicily". This is a long climbing squash that loves hot weather and sunshine. When Sarah found out that her mothers maiden name was an actual variety of squash, she knew she had to grow it. Although it is our mom Diane's maiden name none of our family ever grew the squash so we had never tasted it until Sarah grew it in her garden in Colorado. It's no ordinary squash, the flavor is different with a slight citrus taste and we absolutely love it! If you're interested in growing the Cucuzza squash, the seeds can be found at www.growitalian.com. We're named after an Italian squash!
