I found your channel on Gringo Post that I still subscribe to after living in Cuenca for over 7 yrs. I lived in this condo you just filmed for over a year. We were the very first renters of this space and it was so easy to get around just like Ashley said.
The first home has a lot of character and nature. The second place was also very spacious with great views. Thank you both for showing us other beautiful parts of Ecuador!! 😍😍😍
It is a gorgeous home. The only thing they should have put doors 🚪 in the pantry room The curtains makes it look very cheap.😢 The price is very affordable for such a beautiful property 😍

Retired here 12 years ago initially to Cuenca. Found it a bit too cold for us so for the last 11 years 2 hours south in the Yunguilla Valley. An easy commute to the city. San Joaquin is way too cold.
Yes crime is much higher. Lots of bad headlines. The reality is most of it is cartel related and in certain areas of certain cities. We haven't noticed any increase in our area or when we were in Cuenca. The world 🌎 unfortunately is a lot more dangerous now. Hopefully we have seen the worst.
The vast majority of condo fees are 50 to 100. Security and parking, water are usually included. Maintenance of common area. Pool maint. Always ask as it can be a little different at each place.
Currently in Ecuador (outside of Cuenca)- cold/cold/cold+chilly (no heat!). Boring, but clean- Ecuadorians are nice enough, but a bit aloof/cagey- and I speak Spanish. Not for me and my opinion is built after living in 15 countries. No thank you- keep it. Best, *A.
The comment "very dangerous country" can equally be said of the United States. It's really an observation not worth pointing out when almost every country in the world is "very dangerous" at certain times or in certain areas.
You are truly exaggerating. Get the information correct. Cuenca City is very safe to live. The crime in Europe, especially in Italy and France, is more dangerous than Ecuador and I other places of South America
