This has a few nice functions, the little reference dobobber cracks me up, it's like a last minute, "oh, let's try to be cool!" after thought. It will be interesting to see how evenly it cooks with the four heating elements on top. Doesn't help to super heat if things burn or cook unevenly. Can't wait to see you work this thing.

Great review! Just bought one and it saved me time trying to understand what it's capable of. Not using the drip pan under cooking anything means any liquids/grease could contact the lower heating elements which could cause damage to the elements in the long term. I bought this product primarily for basket air cooking! I have other built-ins to take care of any other needs. Microwave, full size oven and cabinet mounted small mini oven to save energy over full size oven. I believe I figured out how to "double" the basket air cooking: With the drip pan and the air fry basket in the lowest level setting together you can place another "purchased" air fry basket on top of the rack provided placed in the upper level. With the air blowing down from the center top position with four heating elements above, this should be able to air cook both levels. Upper level may be slightly higher broil tendency so thicker foods will go in upper level. I have "air cooked" chicken, steak and other reheat meats. Do that in upper lever. Waiting on additional basket.

Wave Oven Recipes I have to ask you.....How much experience do you have with the Nuwave Bravo XL? This is the air fryer oven that I actually have 1st on my list, but Amazon only has it available through alternative purchasing options! I’m sure I could find it elsewhere, just wondering how much info on it you could throw my way? I get SO analytical, when it comes to reviewing new products I’m thinking of buying. Probably due to my ADHD, LOL! In reality, I’m a DisVet that has had to survive the last 15 yrs on my limited, fixed income and I’m VERY choosy when it comes to spending what little we have to survive on. Cuisinart _owes_ you for this video. It is far and away better than their enclosed paper manual. I bought the appliance for a friend but just now started using it myself. So much cool tech goes largely to waste because the mfgs simply do a bad job at explaining its operation to the people who buy it.

It’s nice when new, but the cooling fan for the electronics starts to make noise after about a year and there is no way to access, fix, or replace it. I’m not sure how long it works after that starts, but it’s a common problem with this unit; there are a couple of videos on RU-vid documenting the noise. Mine is about a year old and has started to make the noise, I guess we’ll see how long it lasts.

I bought one at Costco and had to take it back because the clock wouldn’t set. When I took it back they didn’t have any more and I had to go out of my way to get another one at a different Costco, brought it home and bam! The same thing. I called the company and said either the instructions are wrong, i’m an idiot, or there is truly something wrong with the air fryer. We both agreed it was highly unlikely that I would be so unlucky that both of the ones i got had this problem. Now I’m suppose to cut the cord off it at the base and send them a photo of the cut cord and the’ll send me another one. Crazy! 🤪 I went through so much that I’m not mentioning here to get this oven.

In all honesty, it sounds like a _you_ problem. You probably didn't get 2 bad ones and just need to figure it out. Cutting the cord and taking a photo during a replacement process is standard procedure with many companies. And it's to your benefit. Otherwise they could ask you to ship it to them at your own expense.

Thanks. I hate having to unplug it between uses. The manual cautions that says it must be unplugged. It then forgets the clock and previous settings. I read that it possibly can start a fire.

The power airfryer 360 does have a heating element in front of the fan. If you look in the oven with a flashlight you can see it.

What are a couple of good choices for an air fryer oven? I want an air fryer oven to rotisserie and air fry. I ask you because you have tried many of them. The rotisserie chickens in my area are easier to get if they are between 5 and 6 lbs. Plus, larger chickens give me more leftover chicken for my soup. EDIT: I want to dabble with dehydrating too.

I never used the TOA-60, but the digital has obvious advantages. Many more functions. I don't think you have options like proofing dough and dehydrate in the TOA-60.

I love my Power Air Fryer Elite, so haven't thought about trying out any different ones. It's funny, you buy Air Fryers like I buy guns. Nothing wrong with either way, I don't know if you do guns or not. That would be a great video, for you to hunt something and cook it in your air fryer. I don't hunt, but if you do, that would make a great video... By the way, what is your favorite Air Fryer? I thought the Elite was the only way to go. I really like the stainless, and the removable front window.

The nice thing about cooking is that it is cheap to do it at home, and you make it how you want it. I'm really happy with the Power Air Fryer Elite, but the Bravo also seems like a nice setup.

You have to follow my math. 4 top bars + 2 bottom bars + the earlier mentioned fan = 7 . It was a calculation example based on the method used by Power Air Fryer Oven 360 marketing. So, 6 bars heating and if you include the fan as a heating element, 7. If you follow my statements carefully it may be better understood. But I know most folks are not comparing the marketing speak across various cookers. Cuisinart themselves never say 7, I offered the comparative example. So, I got it right, for my purpose.

Kris Madhu I just got this unit and am stuck as well. It was in clock when I first plugged it in. Now I used it I turn the knob to the clock but it keeps going back to the screen with all the functions 🤦🏽‍♀️. I called Cuisinart and they were no help.

I have had this oven/airfryer for just over a year now and so I have become very familiar with the way it works. It has a number of very annoying shortcomings which at first prove to be no problem but after a while all I wanted to do was throw it out! Firstly it is not whisper quiet as advertised. It makes a very distinct whining noise the minute you switch it on and although it has an automatic timer which switches it off after cooking is complete, the fan continues to operate for ten minutes afterwards which is a cooldown feature. This oven gets extremely hot at the back so you have to keep it well away from any walls when you are using it. The digital menu function is a freaking nightmare to operate after a while, you have to scroll through everything over and over again. The preset toaster functions are inadequate and this oven really struggles to toast wholemeal or multigrain breads, and crumpets....... FORGET IT! Now I have noticed that two of the upper four elements have stopped working altogether, and the digital display is clouded over so it is not waterproof. Trying to clean this product will just about do your head in; the interior has four exposed elements in the top and two in the bottom as well as numerous ridges and bumps to hold the shelves. The oven door is glass and it too is difficult to clean. There are virtually no smooth surfaces on the interior of this product so after a while food residue builds up and you cannot use an oven cleaner according to the instruction booklet. The recipe booklet is a JOKE ! Do not waste your money on this dreadful appliance!

So you have purchased the Nuwave Bravo XL, The Power AirFryer 360 (Now called Emeril Legasse) and now the Cuisinart Digital Air Fry Comvection Oven. But you have not yet plopped down $400 for the Breville Smart Oven Air. So of the you own....how would you rank them based on overall build quality and competency at cooking and then factoring in price.

@@WaveOvenRecipes oh, man ! That is 30 days from now ! I looking to buy tomorrow. The Nuwave is going to be on sale for $140 at kohls less 30% = $98. I can buy the Emeril 360 for 25% or $150 or $180 for Deluxe ( 2 extra air fry baskets, extra baking rack & rotisserie stand.) Did you ever use the Rotisserie ? Which is better that or having built in probe of Nuwave? Also Nuwave size is 1 cu ft vs .53 for Ermeril 360 and .60 for the Cuisnart. The Emeril 360 has a spiral heating element behind the sidecfan for air frying vs the Nuwave & Cuisnart who's fan is at the top behind the elongated heating elements. Which design does the best air frying? Also how do you adjust toast on the Nuwave, I dont see a #1 of slice setting as well as shade scale as on the Emeril & Cuisnart. I also like that the Emeril 360 deluxe package has total of 3 air fry baskets that can be used all together. It looks like Cuisinart can at most only use one Air Fry basket at a time & the Nuwave could use 2 baskets if I can buy a 2nd basket

Nuwave bravo for $98 (1 rack & one air fry basket) or Emiril 360 for $150 (1 air fry basket & one rack ) or $180 (3 air fry basket & 2 racks). You said in one if your videos dont try do bacon in nuwave....too long & to much smoke & you said what good is air fryer if you cant do bacon . Since video was posted last year have you had better luck with Bacon? Also which is better option to have in your opinion the rotisserie or the probe

Being that you have a 2nd Air Fry Basket (virtually identical one from the Bravo) can you test and see if you can fit two baskets into the TOA-65. Being that you only have a single rack & a single pan....you would slide in the pan & air fry basket into bottom slot & then see if you can fit the rack into next slot with the 2nd basket on top. Would like to know of you can fit both in. Thanks

@@WaveOvenRecipes The reason why I asked you test if could hold 2 fry baskets because both QVC & HSN feature demoed the previous model the TOA-60 with a Cuisnart rep & she kept saying you could fry two baskets at the same time....but not once did she demo or show the unit with two baskets at Same Time! The TOA-65 is a newer digital version with more options but it's the same oven inside. So I was hoping you could confirm or debunk that it can actually fit two baskets! Was Cuisinart being misleading?

You saw it on QVC and HSN, so what's Cuisinart got to do with it? The folks on those shows did it. It's not a practice suggested in the manual. So I don't hold Cuisinart responsible. Buy one and do all the tests you desire.

Hey again. Can you please do a toast test to check for hotspots & how even the oven cooks from side to side/front to back /Top to Bottom. You line up the baking rack with white bread and then preheat oven to 350 cook and then cook for 10 min. This is an industry wide test done by wire cutter, consumer reports, America Test Kitchen etc.

@@WaveOvenRecipes No. I had previously asked if you going to test the toast function using toast preset & trying the shade control to see light vs med vs dark. This request was about toasting bread across the rack at preheated oven at 350 and run for 10 min to test for evenness & hotspots for front to back, side to side & top to bottom! Two completely different requests! This is not about making toast .....but an overall test of the Oven! Like I said in last post .....this is a basic test that "Testers" do to evaluate every oven that they review & evaluate.

The knob and buttons on the Cuisinart get warm when the oven is in use. Is that normal?

Thanks for the reply! I also appreciated the thorough review. I learned a few things about my new Cuisinart air fryer. I'm liking it so far, aside from the fact that the knobs and buttons get too warm while in use. I'm considering exchanging for another unit. Thanks again!
