Great job. How'd it do with the grease? I wish you would've showed that. Also, do you have an IR thermometer? I've found that the griddle get plenty hot and the grease trough is more than adequate. And that's coming from a guy with a 36" Blackstone griddle. I just did lightly smashed whole boiled potatoes (skin on) drenched in Olive oil and garlic to crisp up. And I put my griddle over coals. Doing so, I had the option to switch to charcoal for more flavor and I did.
Charles Mallory Thank you for the feedback! Grease was not an issue, the well in the back is offset and deep enough to catch the runoff. In fact, I could’ve crisped some of the potatoes in the bacon fat since it’s hot enough. Ill keep the thermometer in mind for next time!
AC 2 I can see that. My grills and griddles are just out back and I like having a hot coffee and making food, especially in the fall. Plus it doesn’t stink up the kitchen.
@@chefsbonus7696 what have you found to be the best method to remove pellets from the hopper after each use? I just emptied mine but the tube to the igniter (bottom of the hopper) still has pellets in there.
jsgroi77 I use it without the baffle over the firepot. I’ve used the inserts pretty evenly, but I honestly mostly just use the Woodcreek as a smoker and grill.
