Same here Tyler over here in Missouri we have really small sized deer. The biggest one I've shot was a big 8 pointer and that was a few years ago. Hope you do good this year for bow season. Good luck brother
The thing is genetics dont work the way they are thinking. Each phenotype has multiple potential expressions encoded in the deer. Even though youre seeing one trait there can be neqrly infinite other possibilities for that same trait encoded in the deer...personality and environmental influences determine what you see, including personality and environmental influences from precious generations...so just as likely he had a brother with his same variations that just so happened to be the monster 12pt they wanted to keep on the property, so that gene isn't going anywhere. Eugenics doesnt work.
@@brendanoutdoors8145 Don't mislead the young man! He said he was 15 minuets from where they hunted. Time spent managing deer on a huge property is a wash when hunting in a new area. Everything changes, including their patterns, terrain and food source.
Hi guys I live in Wisconsin I wish I could get to meet you guys and if one day you guys would like come hunting in Wisconsin we have we have 8 pointers 10 and It will be a honor to have you guys in Wisconsin and if you guys are interested contact me
This culling of deer seems very random... during season, you kill trophy bucks during the rut... leaving less desirables to mate. Then say you need to cull out the lesser desirable.. I don’t see culling management practices being used properly. Most of these 8 pointers you “culled” were trophies on many hunters wish list.
Doesn’t waiting till 5 or 6 years of age to cull a buck kind of defeat the purpose? He’s already bred does for 3 or 4 years at that point, I’d think you would want to whack him as soon as he wasn’t showing good potential as a spike or 2 year old
I might be the only weird person to do this but I will pass up every perfectly semitrical buck to shoot one with a funky rack. 2 years ago passed up 3 perfect 10 points to shoot a messed up 8 point
@@Youngin6923 That was Definitely not a crossbow sling. you must not wear a safety harness bud.. that is 100% a safety harness strap hook to top of the groundblind.. The ribbles on the strap is extra line stitched until certain amount of pressure is pulls and releases for shock absorption.
Unless you’re trying to grow deer over 170” culling is pointless now im all for whacking em and stacking em don’t get me wrong just any of those deer 3.5 years old or younger could’ve easily hit 150” good deer tho
I know that you like that bcx crossbow and you promote it but just for fun you need to try the killer instinct ripper 415 crossbow that is a monster crossbow you can't slow it down if you tried my opinion thank you for the content and God bless
Lol cull bucks??? I'd absolutely love to see some of them "cull" bucks in my neck of the woods! Y'all rock especially tombo but if I ever had the privilege to manage deer like the E3 ranch has been blessed to do I'd be going for body mass (if that would even be possible never heard of antler stew) but at the same time I do love them racks. Y'all keep on keeping on! Would be my dream to have the privilege to hunt with you sometime but I'm grateful to get to watch ya from time to time! I'm grateful for y'all putting all these hints up for fellars like me to watch. Thank you!!
Love the videos and the tips and advice you guys give on each hunt. How can I come hunt with you guys? I'm currently stationed in Nevada and drew my first archery elk tag. Any tips or advice on elk? That would be greatly appreciated.
Jeremy be quiet if you don't know anything about hunting. They've been hunting since they were kids so they know more about genetics then you do bud sorry but it's the truth
If u guys wanna get some big bucks come to Pennsylvania a good friend of mine killed a 12 point thy scored 195 and this year there is a 10 point that scores 160+ this year I've seen him twice in are chert season so far both times at about 100 yards
Yeah 19.05 Luke that was not a management buck first off you couldn't see the antlers and second off did you see how fast that deer read he may have been 2 years old good job Luke he's a learning
Hard to get on board with these guys, this is what money gets you, these guys are the front men to sell hunting gear. 99.99% of their hunts are on private land, hire help to feed these deer all season, then roll in for a quick video of hunting a monster buck to sell/endorse more gear.
The problem with letting deer walk is the teenage road hunting shit heads down the road 😂 I kill monsters only early season but come late season I’m filling tags!
I would like to invite you guys to check out our school for long range hunting. Give us a look as we can help you improve your rifle game. Here is the link to our school barbourcreek.com
I don't know what makes me want to throw up more............the ground blind, the food plot, the xrossbow, or the needless high dollar camo that's not needed sitting in the blind...........maybe it's the fake fist pumps? Just another reason to give up 50 years of deer hunting and watch Price is Right reruns. YOU HEAR ME SPONSERS>>>>>????? Watching these guys is like watching pro MLB baseball players that have no clue who Ty Cobb was...........only worse cause an animal dies for the cuuum shot.
Culling deer in general is so completey dumb because of how ineffective it is on the genetics of the heard. 1) the does carry the same genetic power in determining the outcome of antler size and look without showing it. So by shooting does your more than likely culling the deer with target genetics. 2) when you shoot a target deer with good genetics your also calling the heard from Those good genetics that you want in there so unless your consistently shooting the worst genetic deer you have on the property in the end your not doing anything to improve the heard just sustaining it at its current value. 3) deer’s antler size changes extremely depending on what is available in the area, so what is a sad looking deer at 3 may be a monster at 4 or 5 because he was exposed to different positive changes in his habitat. So unless they are 7 or 8+ deer where you can look at their lifetime genetics and decide they are not desireable your taking the chance that that deer is just having a rough year. Also by they time they are of old enough age to confidently determine as a cull buck they have definitely passed on their genetics, which is the whole point of a cull buck. 4) the cull bucks do not chase the target bucks because the mature deer choose where they want to be simply because they are in charge of the deer world, aka the bad genetic deer that are not as dominant don’t tell other deer what to do simply because they are not in charge.
Those are not cull buck where I'm at, you don't see that often in Georgia And also who noticed that tombo was wearing a safety hat ace in a growing blind?
I'm upset that LaRouche hit more homer as a national than he did with the Braves! Also, Langerhans for having a better average at shooting a deer as he did batting while with the Braves. Jk Like the videos
