hey can anyone see this? It’s me I’m in these videos. I’m in my uncle’s van right now (not in weird way) he’s drunk and he wants me to drive him to McDonald’s but I don’t drive. Now he’s asleep and he’s in the recovery position (positioning himself for recovery circa six months max) My point is: i need to escape from him. I want to go to different countries and continue making documentaries like the one you see here (I’m the guy in the video) I’ve got a buy me a coffee link in my video description. Anyone who has the money, give it to me. I need to spread my wings and fly from my uncles gooey, cavernous nest, to pursue my lifetime ambition of being an investigative journalist.

@@JJEERRPPbut a good environment to bring them up in is. When just keeping yourself alive costs your wage, a kid is too expensive. In the states, giving birth is too expensive before you start! Gonna need 2 incomes at around 60k plus 30k in savings to get a 2-3 bed place anywhere decent in the uk. Expectations don't help - in your 20s, you're happy with a 1-bed flat in a rough area. By mid-30s you aren't as willing to settle for roughing it unless you grew up in poverty. Imagine you are in your 30s, stuck at home with middle-class boomer parents, but it's a nice house, you got a good education and a good area. If you can afford to move anywhere, it'll be miles away from support networks, work and be a struggle. Worst place to raise a kid. Can't raise one at home either coz you lack independance and clash with grandparents. Kids is just not on the cards for a lot of millennial women coz time will run out for us soon :( millennial men might be able to when they are 50 though, if gen z women will have them.

The Irish Boomers seem so polite. In New Zealand, the Boomers loudly boast that they worked 14 hour days to be able to afford their second holiday home and 10th rental property. Meanwhile, the working generations can't even get jobs with our degrees because our jobs were all outsourced to the Philippines and India.

@@palaceofwisdom9448 working customer service in a national call center for a cell phone company fires number of years taught me that boomers are by far the most entitled and easily angered generation as a whole. it’s a mix of the effects of age and attitudes born of the environments they grew up in, inherited as adults, and forged once they had the reins of political and economic power. on the whole, they most definitely aren’t wracked by guilt over their failures as stewards of the earth and as shepherds of successive generations. the self-centered entitlement that has guided their cynical efforts to destructively extract maximum profit from the environment and from fledgling generations is still robustly alive and well. plenty of boomers are painfully aware of and sorrowful for their personal and collective participation in the havoc that continues to be wrought. many others feel the same sentiments for recognizing wrongdoing and for not doing more to stop it. but most simply don’t think that deeply about things or care to. and those people frequently have seemed to me to have developed the toxic traits emblematic of their generation through shared culture and experience. it’s a commonly held view among my previous coworkers that boomers are the most likely age group to have an outsized sense entitlement and grievance. as if they are owed something simply for having existed up until this point, and that it is a great injustice that they should ever have to manage uncomfortable emotions like frustration and disappointment. for all their rhetoric about younger people being snowflakes, they sure do act the most brittle when things don’t work exactly like they want them to.

@@weird-guy Nope. You'll find boomers in most countries, certainly the Western countries. They were the last generation who could comfortably afford things like property or land, as well as to have children and also to retire, because there wasn't this huge divide between what those things cost and what most people are ever likely to earn. They also had this weird thing called "job security." My parents were Silents (born 1936). They detested Boomers as a general rule. In their world view, Boomers were spoiled brats who grew up with vaccinations in a world of plenty. Then once they grew up, they turned on their generous parents and the society that raised them. Growing up in the 1980's, I remember telling older adults (Silents and Greatests) who I knew that Boomers were adults that acted like teenagers. None of them ever scolded me for this observation! Boomers have been running the USA since 1992. Overall, they have done a terrible job. Our national debt stands at 35 trillion. Social Security will likely go bankrupt in 10 years. We have failed at another military campaign. They need to retire, and let Gen X step in and undo the messes that they largely created.

The jokes here are based on the fact that the boomers were the largest generation, number wise, in history. Therefore they accrued a lot of power and influence over politics and, since they inherited a destroyed world after 2 great wars, they were able to rise swiftly through power. All the global leaders are boomers and so are the major leaders in companies. Being so numerous, they had a giant mass to occupy all sectors in the economy, own most of property and force the government, through vote, to increase pensions and retirement benefits despite impacting a great fiscal burden upon the newer generations, something that the boomer's fathers did not have.

I am a millennial but if I was born in their time I'd be a boomer. Furthermore, if they were born in mine they'd be a millennial and we could trade grievances.
