The never-ending saga of clapped out trucks that people think are nice has blindsided me again. Apparel available at ownbosssupplyco.com with my code whistlindiesel for money off.
You're one of my favorite RU-vidrs. Thankfully, you're still alive. Much love! Also, sucks to hear that people are doing that to you. Hopefully the new place is more private.
One of my proudest moments was seeing a ‘celebrity’ in the airport, and just quietly saying “hey man - big fan” as i passed. Dude was super cool and said “thanks. You want a quick picture?” I responded, “nah, I’m sure your friends will believe you met me.”
i appreciate you putting it out there, so many people selling their "custom" trucks that have no "issues" need to cut the bs nobody wants to get screwed you ruined your truck live with it dont sell it to someone and not tell them
Nobody has any decency anymore and it shows. Hell I’ll tell someone about a tick I heard a couple thousand miles ago that went away just incase it comes back or if they know what it could be and really fix it before it breaks
I've felt the same way about buying a car off someone. I always tell people every exact problem and clean cars I sell, but I always get the exact opposite in return.
Forreal 🤣🤣 throw the taco. Either I will have to clean it up and have a story or I’ll have a free taco and a story. Either way, I could say that whistling diesel threw a free taco to me on the interstate LMFAO
Never watched this! RU-vid in general is something i mostly use for information. On the rare occasion whenever im able to find something actually pertaining to my mechanical issues i need help for! And sadly its not many videos! Also for my reptile collections! Never for motorcycle or dirtbike issues nothing ever comes close! I have a 2006 chevy Duramax and a 1994 Ford F-350 7.3 diesel and luckily they are more reliable than RU-vid has ever been for me! So this is a RU-vid positive! Thank you for that! Whatching you beat that Cummins was hilarious! Ill have to watch some more of your smash them up video's! So love from Latrobe PA! Keep it up!
Totally amazing how far ahead of this game you are. You don't do anything cookie cutter. No like subscribe, none of the RU-vid gimmicks. Brilliant! AGIAN the editing, directing, shot lists, scripts, all of it is 100% masterful. I love just watching for production quality. Cody is as good or better then any TV, movie figure. But I will say the editing is what brings it all together. Amazing job. No I don't need any gift😂. Just giving props
I mean if anyone gaves these truck one good look over, they would realize it's a lemon, but some of these kids would buy it anyways and that's the part that scares me.
You almost got my eye with the rim chip in the Taco bell drive thru.😂 Great video's bud keep doing what your doing. And I'll keep watching and clicking. Waiting for the Netflix special to come out next. 🤙
I had a 2500 3rd gen like that, stock no def. Tranny crapped at 110K. 5.9 still had 300K left on it. I sold it to Caravana for $10k. I should’ve sold it to you. Great videos you’re awesome!
Yo bro I fucking hollered cause it’s so true lmdao got my rolls Royce headliner in my 10inch F 6 inch drop blocks in the rear 2001 cat cut gmc straight piped shit 📦
I understand what you're saying about being famous. In 1987 or 1988 I was on a vacation trip to California and staying at a hotel in Universal City I think it was. Near Universal Studios and in the elevator was none other than Telly Savalas. It was the 1st and only time I met anyone famous. I just said, "Hi." And he said "Hello." I knew it was him but asked, "Are you Telly Savalas? He smiled and said, "Yeah, how you doing." and shook my hand. All I could say was "Wow!" and he laughed. Didn't ask for an autograph I was just stunned and thrilled to have met him. I was also glad I used his real name, not Kojak that was a great tv program I watched as a kid.
Okay hear me out… whistlingXkentucky Truck on table/watermelon/f****** eggplant action. Just leave the .50s at home. You boys have questionable pasts with large caliber rifles.
The filters etc probably help extend and protect WD's popularity with younger viewers. Lot parents wouldn't let their kids or grand kids watch if the language in was salty.
He’ll probably start his own social media some how..he’s the kind of person to not dream about it but do it. Only his will probably not be a massive failure like trumps new site 😂
It’s good to hear a personal non-edited part of this video just to see Cody as himself. Sucks that he has to do all this crap to deal with people who can’t mind their own damn business and treat others like humans!
Unfair to him I mean don’t do rolling coal everyone who hates a clapped out dash breaking 17 year old drive piece of sh*t I mean some people are sensitive But keep up the good work and have been following for a while
Just like to apologize on behalf of all the decent fans out there for what you have to go through, know that we love you and would hate for you to feel uncomfortable in your own town, home, on instagram, and anything else and love the great videos, authenticity, and never clickbait content. We hope you’re doing well 🙏🏻💛
No idea why anyone would pay that much for clapped out trucks. You can’t even use them for real work. I’ve towed more in my little Tacoma than those big trucks ever have.
@@lenn.2907 train horns, shitty tunes, starlight headliners, gayass rock lights, IPad dashes, train horns, pointless drop hitches, no front driveshaft, and amp steps that are at eye level? Like that is probably what pisses me off the most. Why would you put a step that comes down to make it easier to get into the truck at EYE LEVEL?
Bought an 04 polaris predator 500. Did the deal then told the guy the deal is done and no going back for me. Just tell me if anything is wrong with it. Nope all good he says. Said he rebuilt the motor. He snapped one of the screws in the piston head. That's was just the beginning. I even told him I didn't have money to spend on fixing it because I bought my wife a nice big quad for her and my son to ride. New to your channel but lovin it.
man sucks this stuff happens, after all the good fun videos i watch of you i see that there is something deeper going on for your channel. Sorry that the drama is there!
That’s pretty sad. Especially for someone who really seems to be an enjoyable person that people would genuinely like to be friends with or meet. The couple that do that invasive stalking ruin it for anyone who would just enjoy an exchange of a “ Hi, great work! Keep it up man.” Let’s just respect him a little more and that goes for anyone really.
Im a cummins owner...i'm not that way, my cummins actually has nothing wrong with it though. besides all truck guys are different (apart from ford guys) you're personality isn't assigned to a certain truck (again apart from ford guys)..
As a proud Tennessean, I hate that you’re having a bad experience with creeps here. Hopefully everything chills out and you can live a mostly normal life
He's not. He's so full of shit. He's got 3 million subs lmao!, I didn't know he existed until Ken and pewds mentioned him. He's acting like everyone knows who he is....LMFAO!
Couple years ago, my neighbor spent a shit ton doing that to his truck. It would rev high making all that noise while barely even moving but he couldn't even pull his enclosed car trailer with it. He had to use his wifes stock gas powered truck to pull the trailer. That thing was a damned joke. lol
@@therealduckkingas someone who doesn’t own a truck and never has. The Cummings diesel engine is probably one of the best if not the best civilian turbo diesel you can buy.
I’m a dodge truck guy too and yes he’s very accurate with this. I’m actually glad he’s destroying these janky ass builds because some kid is gonna get it then hate a truck brand for the rest of his life because some idiot half assed their truck together just so they could sell it for more.
I ride down in the 4Runner and see all these kids in these money pits gazing the shit out of people. Thank you for doing them a favor and showing them how they really are!
Love the show Cody. I’ve never been famous but I’ve been in the light on a small college campus as president of a fraternity, this was tougher than you’d think but had its benefits. All eyes on you my friend. BTW DONT GET some bad injury doing this channel. Respect breaking bones it sucks friend. These issues come with your situation (a good situation) you’ll get used to it.
My grandpa had a second gen diesel. I believe it's stock and he's passed now but my cousin has it and the truck has probably 600k miles on it and it still runs great. Has some rust but runs great
@starlord neveragain Is it hard to be stupid? Hopefully you haven't been stupid your entire life. Should get some help for it before you end up spreading your stupidity to other people.
@@lastfirstmiddle9969 I think you're both right. Sucks that he's had issues with privacy in his own home. Though fame/publicity will change how you interact with folks in public no matter what. It's part of what you sign up for when you pursue a career in the spotlight and continue to allow growth of your brand. But it definitely should be emphasized that, celebrity or not, privacy within your own property/home should always be respected. That's fucked up that people will pull that.
These videos always make me smile because they’re absolutely everything I dreamed of doing as a kid. It’s so much fun to find the breaking point of things if you can afford to do it
So you have/had destructive tendencies that would land most "normal" folks in straight-jackets or labelled as domestic terrorists/violent extremists? Interesting.
@@lastofthebest5102 no it really wouldnt land most people in straight jackets destroying shit is actually and extremely effective form of getting rid of stress
@@lastofthebest5102 Yep I’m just the absolute worst, put me in a straight jacket and throw me in the loony bin. WD would be in a pretty nice padded cell by now if we were going by that logic.
@@lastofthebest5102 what? I think you're one of those people that forget that other people have property rights lmao. Nobody has ever been thrown in the bin over destroying their own property. But a lot of people were charged and arrested by feds for destroying other peoples property
This dude has really grown on me over the years, glad to see he's back. Hey Cody if I see you round town I'll pretend I don't recognize you and just give a super creepy wink 🤣
@@rirukoh the only good diesel drivers are gmc trucks with a duramax who drive them as construction trucks. Everyone else sucks with diesels. Most guys who drive a gmc do it because they just need a good truck they don’t care what but they wanna avoid all the debate and gmc is overlooked even though it’s just Chevy.
Have been a dodge guy my whole life, and I think this video is on point and funny as shit. He's the only person on RU-vid that I've seen put all of these different trucks to work and to see how capable each one is. Extreme testing of these trucks are important, as it shows us what to buy and what to look out for. In reality if you pay attention to his videos, he's giving you the best advice for each vehicle and literally tells you what not to do so you don't get yourself in a bind with a truck. He shows that just because a truck is pretty doesnt mean that it's fully capable even if it's a 4x4. And honestly I appreciate the fuck out of that. I've learned alot and also have thoroughly enjoyed watching his videos. Thank you Whistlin Diesel
holy shit it's thelegend27. also I have an 07 dodge dakota, just hit 105k miles and always had maintenance/tune-ups done at the dealership by the previous owner. I was wondering, how many more miles do you give me before a fatal malfunction? I hear the transfer case is my biggest worry but I'm always looking for more opinions so I know what to expect. I got this truck for an insane deal so no matter what I'll need to save up it's worth it. Thanks in advance u a real one
and whistlindiesel although I doubt you read comments cuz it's pure aids down here, if you happen to see this I'd love to see u buy the same truck and do your best to kill it just so then I can translate that to my own life. One day when I have money I'll do the same for you
@@Lysergic_ I also got mine for an insane deal. I have an 04 ram 1500 with the 4.7 in it. 322,000 miles and going strong. Same engine and trans in it. I do the coils, plugs, and injectors often just to keep it in check. Has been the best truck I've ever owned by far so that's why I'm big on dodge I guess. Havent had anything fatal really happen because of the amount of maintenance I do on it just to keep her going. She runs great as long as you keep your fluids up and fix those misfires pretty quickly.
@@Lysergic_ if it has only 105k on it, then it has a long life ahead of it. Just dont let any problem with the engine go too long without fixing because itll cause other failures as well. In my engine if I do not fix a misfire pretty quick it causes other things to start taking a crap inside and it just makes for more problems when usually it's just a plug or a coil
@@TheLegend-dg9pe That's good to know, I've been babying my truck hard cuz it's essentially my livelihood, so it sounds to me like other than the transfer case thing I hear about I should be good. Also unfortunately I have the 3.7 liter, but I view that as a plus because of gas, reliability, and the fact that if I didn't view it as a plus I'd feel sad every time I get in it lol
I have to Thank Cody for his diligence and patience at producing a high quality and accurate test of what we all would do with our trucks if we could. Good to know a products limits 👍
@@lazylizard6532 how many different types of steel are used for a body and bumper? I got rear ended on the highway going 70mph and my ram just had the back bumper pushed in and a little crinkle on the quarter panel. It must be good considering the Cadillac suv had the entire engine compartment pushed in to the windshield. And it's an 05 with no rust what so ever and I live in the midwest. So what's the issue? I see newer vehicles rusting out already
@@200130769 dozens, maybe hundreds of steel alloys have been used in automotive manufacturing, especially considering this truck was made in a different country 30 or so years after the other one. Newer cars and trucks are trying to be as light as possible so they aren’t as thick and tough as older ones. Sounds like the crumple zone in the front of the Caddy met the mostly straight frame in the back of your truck and did it’s job. Hope everyone was safe.
