I finally bought a 6.0 power stroke and I’m extremely excited to see how freaking amazing they really are from what all the cocky 6.0 owners are saying! Let’s go.
Its funny, I bought a 6.0 excursion in 2013, ran it until 2 months ago. Only engine work was an icp valve and one injector. Had to swap out the up pipe due to corrosion, only time the turbo was ever out. Luckiest guy ever I guess . Sold it to a young young guy though 😁
I wish he would do these videos more. We need a 5.9 video, 6.4 video, 6.7 video, 7.3 video, and 6.6 video. Like every build. Would be so sick. To this day this is my favorite video he ever made and I rewatch it all the time.
@Eli_G454 Really? I still see alot of those 6.0's on the road, '04 -'08 they sound good too!!! That whistling diesel those 6.0's make is freaking 🔥 and ima buy one someday when the price is right and treat it with a little better care than this guy 😆 🤣
As I was rewatching this, I couldn’t help to start laughing at when he started talking about 16 year olds owning them. I had a classmate who had a 6.0 king ranch. Was always bragging about it and how he paid 30k for it. He raced a kid from another school who had a 5.9 cummins. His motor blew within 5 seconds 😂
I bought a brand new 6.0 f250 in 06. Currently has 290k miles. Motor has never been opened. I understand some have had issues. Mine is the best truck Ive ever owned.
They really aren't that bad, it's biggest weakness was it was designed specifically to make the EPA happy since the 7.3 was too big and sooty to make the hippies happy.
@@aidansellers3119 I feel like it’s the last free state that’s actually worth a damn in America so we unintentionally brag about it. It’s going downhill fast out here though with all the ❄️’s moving in tho.
I dunno man because a certain ex-camera man posted a video 3 days ago about his 6.0 in a sled pull competition and such. I might just be assuming things but something tells me this is a possible call out.
@@Dunki113 😂😂😂. Good someone else pointed this out. But at the end of the day this is only TRUTH about how shitty the 6.0/6.4 Ford diesels are. Or wait. Maybe it needs the new and improved BULLETPROOF BULLETPROOF BULLETPROOF kit😂😂🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️ 💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩.
My dad bought his 04' Excursion brand new 6.0L and knock on wood @175,000 miles still running great had some alternator charging issues for a while but was about it still looks brand new almost 20yrs later
@@bestplayeralive They say the 6.0 was the worst diesel ever made. I had a buddy he had last year of the 6.0 his didn't make it to 60,000 before it blew up. I've driven that Excision many of miles and never had any mechanical issue a with it when I drove it and with the tune it's had since 100 miles on the clock and for a 9,000 4wheel drive station wagon it still gets up and goes and sucks some diesel when you do step on it. I've got a 96 Hardbody with 389,000 on the clock and aside if some oil now and then still runs great never had an issue with the druvetrain. Had to redo the brake system on it but that's it still has ice cold air,hot heat and 4tg gear winds out @6,250 RPM 5th gear isn't much taller than 4th so bout 120 is all she does still to this day.
The oil coming out of the AC vents is the best feature, gotta make sure everything has lubrication Main purpose must be helping the air move through the vents faster and slicker
You know I literally hated your guts up until about 2 weeks ago, I dont even remember what video it was that turned me honestly. Ohhh, the squatted truck one! Much respect! Thank you for your service!
My dad had one of these for 10 years, in 2015 we were driving down the Montana highway with a trailer behind us. Within 5 miles after hitting 100k on the odometer it blew the radiator or some part of the cooling system. Had to be towed 2 hours to the nearest dealership. We stayed in that trailer in a Sinclair parking lot for 5 days while the truck got fixed. My dad got a new truck right after that trip.
Most people think dudes a menace to society but I think he's great. He does the things most of us poor people can't afford to do. Thanks for being the answer to intrusive thoughts
Been a week since he last uploaded. Everyday that passes gets harder. Withdrawals at their worst, might not make it. Its been a good ride fellas. Godspeed
I've seen a lot of weird car problems.... I've NEVER seen oil coming through the cabin air vents... had me creasing xD Boss showed me this channel and plays these vids every break, hooked now for sure. Love the work mate
@@getonthecrossanddontlookba5004 mind your own business “And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward”
Now therefore, kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman who has known man intimately. But all the girls who have not known man intimately, spare for yourselves. Numbers 31:17-18
The funny thing about that picture of that truck with the cab lifted off of it is that that's what they usually do when they work on the engine because it's way more convenient, I've seen a few so far at the ford dealership I work at.
hey hey, as a proud (not that proud) owner of a 6.0 350, they sound amazing, the whistle is utterly intoxicating, and yes they have some BIG reliability problems. But once you take off all the emissions crap and chip them. and you dont floor the throttle like ever, they are actually not so bad
“More than 700 thousand people are without power…” kills me bruh. I hope he keeps puttin them in there every time he does something sketchy by the powerlines 😂
Notice how he's never actually doing sketchy shit that could actually end up taking one down. I bet multiple government agencies are part of signing of the land deed really grilling whomever would buy the land about how serious the fines would be for damaging one.
"It's not bad! I just need to put more money into it!" Gosh that line hit like... well... hit like a truck. If you ever hear someone say that, it's a cry for help.
@Иван Петров I WILL ROLL COLE IN A HOLE WITH MY MOLE AND ENJOY IT!!!! AND BESIDES WE ARE ALL STUCK WITH FACE DIPPERS ON ANYWAY, SO WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE
I remember 8 years ago I had to have one, and just from normal driving and getting on it every now and again I cracked the heads, I had diesel fuel in my coolant radiator. Replaced the heads, got ARP head studs, bigger turbo, and replaced a lot of other miscellaneous parts, thing was such a piece of junk
I have an 06 6.0 and it's not studded but the egr was deleted. And I hammer it a lot. And so far no issues. It's not tuned. I think most people has issues cause they tune them...
When I was reading truck magazines as a little kid, I thought "bulletproofed" actually meant that you could shoot it. I didn't find out they weren't actually bulletproof until I was maybe 10.
"The kids put 40-60k in it" no, you mean DADDY puts that much into it. Kids don't have any idea how to use those trucks. Why they get them ill never understand.
I bought a 7.3 powerstroke in 2001 with 4wd, 4 door, long bed among other add options. One of the best trucks I ever owned and I've had a few. I went everywhere with my sons fishing, camping and surfing. We have many great memories of those times traveling to remote locations including Baja. Sadly Ford went south after 2003 trying out new engines and transmissions, should have stuck with the old reliable workhorse. Sold the truck in 2016 to one of my sons so he could pull his 30ft boat and it's still running like a champ.
The best truck I have had was a used (20,000 Miles) 1983 Ford F250 long bed with a straight 6, 300HP, standard transmission, duel gas tanks. It was a workhorse and easy to work on not like what's available today. The truck would go anywhere and I would pulled a utility trailer when going on vacation filled with all my camping equipment. I put a steel shell and a carpet kit in the bed with seatbelts up by the cab for my sons. We took that truck all over Baja, fishing, surfing and camping. When my sons were older and their friends wanted to come along on the adventures I bought the F350 powerstroke in my original post and sold this truck with 350,000 miles on it to a couple of gardeners.
The better thing than bulletproofing it is they make 5.9 12v conversion kits. The interiors are pretty good on these trucks. Like under 20k to do a conversion
@@spunkyspice4733 it was staged. Probably dumped oil in the vents when they changed the radio. Notice how in the beginning of the video he rips the radio out then later in the video there’s a radio in the truck. If on the one to million chance what you said happened you’d see milky oil from the blown gasket.
Literally right when he said I don't know where the water is going I said out loud check your oil then said the oil was coming out of the AC vents I lost it 🤣😂
Meanwhile: I offroad with my buddy in his old 80s Dodge with the cummins. That is a climbing machine. It is also a fantastic farm truck. The one on his parents ranch just rolled over to 1,000,000 miles a year or so ago. That ol' truck will outlive me...
Funny and true: My dad was a sales manager at ford, then at Freightliner. He bought this truck new years ago, it sits in a heated barn and has many favorable stories told about it, none of which involve it moving.
First time I’ve watched dudes content. I haven’t laughed so hard in a while. This guy literally encapsulated every town’s basic bro here in Tennessee with a 6 hoe. “It’s bulletproofed!””we should shoot it”
videos like this make me glad my dad hasn’t sold his 04 2500 Cummins, completely stock from the dealer besides a gooseneck hitch and a different tailgate.
About a year ago I thought this was a great truck because still to this day it's the only diesel I've driven but now mine sits in the driveway mocking me for believing in it but I won't get rid of it because it has sentimental value for being the first vehicle I drove on my own at 10 years old, was my grandpa's, and I don't need to get rid of it
A reputable mechanic once told me Ford doesnt make diesel engines, they turn petrol engines into diesel plants, Cummins will always be better, the truck around the Cummins, maybe not so much, but at least the motor is beast mode.
@@paddington1670 that reputable mechanic is a fucking retard. GM turned a gas engine into a diesel not ford/international. Don't believe me go pull the intake manifold off a 6.2/6.5. Still has exhaust ports for a fucking carburator.
just rewatching this and it’s so true… 😭 🤣 my dad has a 04 excursion with the 6.0 he bought for 10k 5 years ago. we did the head gasket probably 4 times in 3 years before he finally took it to a shop to get the block and head replaned. probably 30k, 2 turbos, 4 head gaskets, a head, injectors a couple of times, and im definitely forgetting somethings but it’s reliable now 👍 🤣
@@josephgordon1269 6.7 is all right, but the 7.3 is by far the best ford has put out even tho the 444 is an international motor. But 6.7 vs 7.3, 6.7 has a graphite iron block that cant be rebuilt. The 7.3 can be rebuilt and has a plethora of things on it for regular maintenance that most modern vehicles dont have like grease fitting, easily replacable parts etc.
@@ultraxart1c435 exactly, the 6.4 is far worse than the 6.0 and for that reason whistlin should purchase one and drop it feom a cliff after he feeds it to the tree shredder... The 6.4 is the worst thing to happen to the diesel community ever.
They also should've been maintained better by most owners lol, plus it's all about the buyer, if you know how to fix that stuff it's cheaper to fix one than getting an expensive one. I've put less than 10k total into buying and rebuilding my 6.0 and it has had no issues since rebuilding, definitley better than factory new. That's my point.
@@benjaminkinsey1323 very true. If you do go through the “bulletproof” process you get a good engine. But yeah if you can do it yourself it’s way better.
😂😂😂 At first I was „OK still a big Engine that should take a beating and if you invest enough -_-„, but as soon as I saw oil running out the vents, I completely lost it 😂 I saw a lot of fuckery with vehicles within the last 25 years, but cabin oil injection feature really tops it all 🤣
