Excellent photos and thorough food reviews. I like that you keep the menu on screen long enough for me to pause it and really study the offerings. The fish dishes and many of the desserts were the superstars.
I liked the majority of all the foods that your wife was dancing with when she ate them. Again, I am so glad I found you guys, because, honesty is the best teacher. Amen
Cunard seems like a premium cruise with fancy food options. Most of the dishes look so dishes and gourmet. Thanks for sharing your dining experiences with us. Very helpful and informative video as always!❤
My husband and I will be on QM2 in November and we were on the world cruise on her in 2020 when it was curtailed in Perth, but we have very fond memories of the ship and especially the food! These videos are very well produced and what you see is what you get with Cunard……..excellent quality and service always! Looking forward to our next cruise on this lovely ship.
From your wife's eating I will know what to get and what not to eat. Thank you so much because I know she is a foodie just like me. Thank you so much for sharing. Amen
I really enjoy watching Joanna eat. She tries about everything...love her expressions...i love how even if the food is not to her liking she tries to be diplomatic about it.....keep on keeping on. I laugh at her expressions..I love you guys. Sorry if I spell her name wrong.
I love the way this lady eats! So clean and graceful! She likes almost everything. Fun to watch someone eat. -- Makes me hungry! Thanks for the videos!
I just want to come hang out with Mrs. Tourist and taste stuff with her. I love that she just goes for it, whatever it is - thats the definition of cruise/vaction eating to me....try all the things! When she does the "OOHH" and the happy dance you KNOW it was good! Ya'll are doing a fantastic job and I'm loving living vicariously through your vlogs. Thanks for all the details and menus, it's fantastic to get to see all of this content! Best cruise food content I've seen on you tube, hands down!
Another great video , your wife describes everything perfectly, some of the vegetarian dishes I would not have tried but she describes them and they sound so tempting , we shall be cruising with Cunard this year, this video is so helpful, thanks keep it up 👍
Thank you very much- will do! 😊 Happy to hear Joann's descriptions inspire you to try new vegetarian options. Cunard is a fantastic choice - have a wonderful voyage!
I’m not a vegetarian but I can say that every vegetarian dish that Joann tried looked delicious to me. Very unique combinations. But the Thai Beef salad was my winner for this video. And the cherry crumble. I always order berry/cherry deserts. Thanks for posting this video!
Our pleasure- thank you for the comment! 😊 Cunard had a nice choice of vegetarian dishes for sure that were quite enjoyable. And yes that Thai Beef salad was quite delicious! 😋
For the record "cheesecake fool" is not cheesecake. Fool is a custard-based desert, though oftentimes whipped cream. Cheesecake fool is usually a blend of cheesecake and fool that results in a texture something between cheesecake and a custard/whipped cream.
Good video and a truecand factual representation! Memories of our US cousins refusing to sanitise even after using the ablutions; one a few occasions taking bites out of food items and pitting them back…..
Thank you very much! 🙂 Yeah we've seen a few guests using their hands at the buffet like that, but the crew is always really good at spotting the pieces touched and removing them.
You really highlight the broader selection of Vegitarian/Vegan options. The British, and European cruise lines seem to have more of these options? I’m not veg I myself but have friends and family with various food needs. Thanks for another great video!
Great video...some delicious looking food 😋. I hope you don't mind me asking, but does anyone ever get a meal that hasn't been 'tasted' first? I'd be sitting there so impatiently waiting - and I'd feel very shortchanged watching mine getting eaten ...especially when Joanna likes it and goes in for a second (or third!) mouthful 😂
Thank you! 😊 Yes the ones you don't see a tasting of! 🙂 I don't mind, but our son can get impatient- you can hear him making noises or complaining sometimes 😁
The vid is 2 years old, and of a different ship, but we will be traveling around and from Japan next Spring on the Queen Elizabeth. 40 day cruise over, under, around Japan and back home via North Pacific and Alaska. Having just gotten off (T.G!) Norwegian Star, we are looking forward to our first Cunard experience.
During formal nights there were probably a quarter of the men wearing tuxedos, but the rest wore jacket with ties and slacks. For non-formal nights, there were probably 2/3's wearing jacket, ties & slacks, the others were wearing just a collared shirt & pants. It definitely wasn't as strict/formal as we expected. Thanks for the question!
Not sure what machine they used to make them but they were pretty good. We didn't find out they were complimentary until midway into the voyage, but ordered them daily after that.
I've never been nor am I likely to ever go on a cruise...but I am one who believes good food is one of life's great rewards and I understand food is an important element of cruising, so I watch and enjoy these vids. My question is this: In one sitting she will sample numerous entrees and desserts, but this is a la carte, not buffet service. Again, I know nothing about cruise ship dining rules or etiquette, (if any even exists) but is it normal or acceptable to have more than one entree, dessert and/or whatever, in one sitting? Eee gads, maybe I should go on a cruise!
On most lines (including Cunard) you're allowed to order as many dishes as you please. They're all included with your fare (unless specified as a surcharge on the menu).
We actually order food for 3 people (2 adults & a teen), and for most of the dishes she just takes a bite to try. We do end up finishing 90% of the food usually. But yes you can sure order multiple appetizers, main entrees & desserts per person. Thanks for the question! 🙂
Everyone that's sitting behind your wife is a senior citizen I think you guys were the youngest couple aboard that ship or one of the youngest with your son
You're incorrect as both are acceptable. So sayeth Merriam-Webster. shrimp noun \ ˈshrimp , especially Southern ˈsrimp \ plural shrimp or shrimps P.S. It is worth noting that British English uses "shrimps" rather frequently (and may be the preferred plural form). In American English the word "shrimps" is almost never used. Since Cunard is a British line, it would make sense that their menus reflect British English.
