Great video! I have been to Alaska on Holland but not Cunard. If you had to choose one or the other for similar itinaries, which one wins and why, please? I am debating between the two for this summer and I would really appreciate your advice. Thanks.
Beautiful photography in Glacier Bay! Can you describe what it was like trying to photograph the whales and glaciers from the ship? Any unexpected challenges? Was there any difference between your ability to shoot from your Holland America cruise compared to Cunard (sight lines etc)? Thanks for sharing your experience on this trip. Thanks so much for watching! I personally didn’t have any issues, I would suggest a great quality telephoto lens, as most wildlife you’ll see is quite far from the ship. Both ships offered the open bow during Glacier Bay which was nice. I enjoy sailing to Alaska with a balcony, they typically turn the ship around so all have a good view. Hope this helps and that you enjoy your own cruise to Alaska!

Thanks so much for watching! This is a topic that comes up every so often, so I’ll be adding it to my cruise recap episodes. I will say that Cunard Line is vegetarian friendly, however vegan is a bit more of a challenge. I had a colleague on the same sailing who was vegan, they had to make her special meals in the dining room and they were quite “plain”. I hope that Cunard Line makes some adjustments to their menus as I even found it to be quite “traditional”.
