This is one of the most insightful, articulate and detailed interviews of any producer I've ever heard. Thanks for taking the time to upload. Oh, and to Jack Smooth: I'm glad he championed and incorporated the Techno sound in his Breakbeat Hardcore, Hardcore Techno, Jungle Techno, Drum n Bass productions. Admittedly, I've always been very biased towards the Techno side of things, but even if I wasn't. Respect needs to go to the history and evolution of this whole scene and what made it in the first place. UK Hardcore didn't just appear out of nowhere. Most of its early influences were from the House and Techno scene which came before it (Acid House, Detroit, Belgium, UK northern Bleep Techno, Holland etc. ). The UK scene would've ended up being much less interesting and exciting in my opinion without Ron Wells' contributions and the Techno inspirations he brought with it.

Justin Drake is one half of the mighty Peace Division! He is house music royalty from late 90's onwards.

Jack Smooth obsession mix tape has brought me here! Excellent interview, absolute legend. Made some of my favourite tunes, jungle techno!

Bought kev bird twilight zone on basement in 1992 and that was me hooked on that label. I would buy it on sight. Imo Ron is one of the foundations of jungle alongside the guys at reinforced, Ibiza etc. No other producer made such clean sounding consistently well produced tunes. Pretty much started the careers of many great producers as well. Thanks for the interview.
