@@Gunner1302 Nope. Lallana was always a more complete player than Joe Cole. Joe Cole was a flop who didn't deserve no.10 in Liverpool. Good thing Brendan let him go, couldn't let him tarnish Liverpool no.10 shirt any longer
@Seba Didn't they beat Chelsea in the UEFA super cup final earlier this season? Or become world champions?.. Or about to win the premier league by a mile.. Yeah what a disaster ey 🙄
@jeremymerrifield7244 but it also devalues the competition a bit having the semi final played in the same place as the final. No incentive to reach the final
(Liverpool fan here). The absolute strength and depth in talent of that Chelsea squad is mind blowing. They had the likes of Gudjohnson, Duff, Bridge, Huth, SWP, Joe Cole & Crespo on the bench! (Full internationals). I’m glad there isn’t one powerhouse like this anymore and it’s much more competitive- back then a win against Chelsea was a huge deal (Fulham beating them 1-0 at home caused a pitch invasion!)
Chelsea has one of the most infamous hooligans in Britain, namely Headhunters. I heard they were true savages, probably comparable to Millwall Bushwackers
Harry Kewell was a beast, shame he was always injured, if not I would have him along the greats like Suarez, Torres and so on. There had to be a reason that Benitez started him in the Champions league final.
Hi guys! I'm an 18 year old footballer who is documenting my journey in becoming the best player that i could possibly be. If you guys can check out my content and follow my journey that would be amazing, thank you for reading!
@@carlosmoore5474 In general perhaps, certainly in English football. At the very top it hasn't. These Chelsea and Liverpool sides were just as switched on tactically as they are now.
I remember hearing years ago that after Luis Garcia scored this goal, he went up to Mourinho and asked "Did that one go in?". Top tier shithousery haha.
The Actress (aka Mourinha) agreed a deal with Liverpool, but Chelsea offered more money and she went there. It must hurt her that Liverpool (and Barcelona) were the only team that could stop her Chelsea team every time.
@Imran Khan. Up until the new Wembley being built semi finals were nearly always played on neutral club grounds. The reason Wembley has been used since is because it was 3 times over budget and the FA have a huge mortgage to pay.
Next Gen Trent You must have some serious vision problems if you didn't see Terry's high boot. I've set you an appointment at SpecsSavers for tomorrow 10am.
They are the stadiums with most semifinals I think. This shoyld come back. And England should host at least two friendly home games per calendar year in the club's grounds
Jamie Carragher talking to John Terry on Off Script recently made the point that Liverpool vs Chelsea around this time was always a tight game. "You couldn't afford to make a mistake" he said. Error from Gallas led to Liverpool's second, and then Riise with a bad clearance gave Chelsea their goal. Two brilliant, clinical teams, always a pleasure to see them do battle
Yeah ..That was the start of our 'hiatus' from the UCL for a few years..Thinking of that OG now still hurts lol.. we were in control of the tie then...
One of the most frustrating players Liverpool have ever had. I think he was simply terrified of picking the ball with his right foot. Hence, the stupid diving headers when trying to clear. How can a professional footballer be so completely unable to use their weaker foot?
