@@paulo547 Honestly, the fireballs aren’t the hardest part. It’s basically just one faster fireball since they don’t go at once. The problem is all the ingredients being faster in phase one, like end of strawberries + limes + sugar cubes
@@fryingpan7583 that’s cuz they didn’t go for rubber hose in the DLC they went for 1940’s. Idk when Alice in Wonderland was made but that’s why the animation looks more like it belongs in a Disney movie
Cool little thing I saw, when he goes to his 3rd phase, you can see his salt inside him being drained which causes the Giant landscape of salt. Good details👌
@@xrogue1218 no the track ended when the boss was defeated. The part the song was on was just perfectly timed to the ending. If you listen closely, you can hear a cut off drum roll. This is where the song was supposed to continue but got cut off by the knock-out/ end of the song that naturally plays when the match ends.
Regular salt baker: a nice fair battle. Challenging, but not too difficult. You always have time to react. Expert Salt baker: how many projectiles can we put on one screen while still looking possible.
@@ghostlydude6478 While that game isnt a platformer so you got better movement, Rabi Ribi is a better example that is a bullet hell platformer. Overall Im not the fondest of games that vomit so many bullets they become find the safe pixel game play.
It’s amazing how on regular, Saltbaker is challenging, but not as challenging as some of the other dlc or even main game isle 3 bosses (I’m looking at you Dr. Kahl’s robot). But on expert? He’s easily one of the hardest bosses in the whole game from his first phase alone. There’s just so many projectiles on the screen coming at you with him prepping them up at lightning speed in the background.
Yeah at least for me it was by far the hardest s-rank in the game. I did it without charms because I prefer playing that way and it took me about 5 hours.
I'm currently trying to s rank every boss in the dlc, I'm having nightmares about that purple fucking ice wizard (i was 1 sec off s ranking him) I can't imagine what it's going to be like trying to s rank saltbaker. Going to be a nightmare using mugman and smoke bomb.
I appreciate the consistency of not using different weapons or meter for this comparison, while also going flawless to get the most insanely accurate video to watch.
Technically, the only real crime he committed was trying to kill cuphead and his brother, (and devouring the chalice) They did agree to work for him, Even if they were unaware of his intentions
You’re all moderately correct. But the hardest level/boss you cannot deny. junkyard jive I hate it so much. Even on the regular that boss still makes me want to smash my controller into bits. The only reason I cannot S rank every single boss in the main game. Is because of that one Robo annoyance Edit: The mouse was kind of moderate difficulty I died a few times but that was because of the first phase I don’t know which attack it was. But I died on that. Also the mermaid was hard. Not extremely hard but it was still hard. And regarding the bird. That was pretty easy. A One death because of that one attack where his feathers go everywhere. I will just rank them by difficulty here now: Doctor name I forgot the name of robot:12/10 The mouse that I forgot the name of:4/10 The mermaid that I forgot the name of:7/10 Warbles:2/10 (I threw it in the German mouse because I was stupid and figured one of you Mentioned him lol. I’m too lazy to remove him)
Difference in expert mode : Phase 1 : 2 fire balls and faster ingredients. Phase 2 : More Pineapple Mints. Phase 3 : 2 Saw blades on the floor. Phase 4 : Everything is faster.
I Remember a weird glitch with this boss, because when I went back to the map after dieing to him a couple of time when I first fought him. When I went back to fight him again the game bugged out and gave me the expert version instead of the regular version and I didn’t relies it for a while, but I’m sorta proud of myself cause I was able to get to the second phase, but couldn’t get farther than that.
@@jsm2p12 I suck at games but something about this one is so addictive and fun I managed to get through it, and I'm no pro gamer, so I recommend for you too also
The Saltbaker battle is unique, as it actually shows you what his next move will be before he even does his next move. For example, before the sugar cubes come in, he turns the big sugar cube into little ones, and blows them off-screen for them to eventually come back as obstacles. Another example, when the pineapple mint leaves (I thought they were basil leaves, thanks for the corrections) are about to fall in phase 2, he throws the leaves into the air first. EDIT: I also think it’s a nice design that how this game also has a tutorial, which helps players get used to the game and know how to play instead of having to learn yourself. (this comment is a joke)
(Regular mode) Saltbaker: oh hey a customer *proceeds to prwpare something calm * (Expert mode) SaltBaker: HOLY SHIT THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE I NEED TO DO THE FOOD REALLY FAST
It seems like in Expert mode, the very second one attack ends, Saltbaker starts another one just to ensure the screen is always packed with stuff to kill you. I could be wrong tho
imagine if there’s a EX-Expert mode for Saltbaker which he doesn’t have any resting moment for the first phase, and second phase involves the pepper shakers shooting 3 tightly spread projectiles, and 4th phase including even more saws and the last part having the heart shoot projectiles
*ALL THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN REGULAR AND EXPERT* First Phase - 1 more fireball, more health and much more attacks. Second Phase - 1 more fireball, more health. Third Phase - 1 more saw blade. Fourth phase - Platforms are further away from each other and more health.
There’s a few more than that. His second phase actually has more mint leaves falling too when he throws them at you. His third phase, the duo salt clones bounce faster, and in the fourth phase, his heart moves faster.
changes i noticed in this are Phase 1 and 2: Fairly unchanged apart from the added fire thing Phase 3: Added sawblade and a faster movement on the salt things Phase 4: the heart moves faster and stays on the wider start for longer but it eventually reverts back to the normal versions, also more health
Attacks in phase 1 and 2 happen more often than they do in regular mode, which makes them way harder since sometimes you have to dodge like 3 attacks at once. The phases are also significantly longer
-Great animations -Phenomenal music -Nice surprise -Attacks reference to the things you gathered in your quest. -WHY DID THEY CRANK UP THE DIFFICULTY THIS MUCH FROM REGULAR TO EXPERT?!
I think the auto-aim weapon (the green one, I forgot its name) should’ve been used for this comparison so that way the two difficulties are synced and that could also show if the harder version has more HP or smth like that
The auto aim weapon your talking about is chaser Since you forgot what it was Im gonna explain it a lil Chaser: Low dmg but fair since it does chase the enemy Crack shot has the same ablity has chaser but high dmg btw
@@Fried236 maybe i wrong but on single player after the dlc release i fell the devs did i little damage buff on the chaser but i not 100% sure because my main weapons when i played on normal and expert is the charge and crack shot
Differences i think Stage 1: 3 hazards can be on screen instead of 2 More health Satge 2: More dancing fire guys pepper shakers have more health 5 leaves in the leaf attack instead of 3 Stage 3: 2 hazard in the ground instead of 1 Dancing salt thing falls faster Stage 4: Heart is faster (Less/smaller platforms?) More health
Seems like they're really big difference is out of the final phase as when you're fighting him and shooting him at his heart, you'll notice that the expert mode that it's very narrowed and more smaller than the regular mode. Also, it takes a very longer time to knock him out on expert mode considering it's called expert mode for a reason. Great video!
I had to slow the video to see the differences between "regular" and "expert" difficulties. Because everything's too fast to look at each details. These patterns are the same but they re-arrange them differently and the number of time they appear. "regular" mode is hard but "expert" mode is just madness.
Phase 1: Normal usually has 1-2 attacks at a time, Expert seems to have 2-3. Also more health. Phase 2: No observable change from what I can see, besides extra health. Phase 3: Extra sawblade in the floor, and he bounces slightly lower. Extra health. Phase 4: Besides extra health, no real changes from what I can tell. I felt like Saltbaker in general, both normal and expert, was far too easy, both difficulties took me less than three tries.
Bro, you have my respect... Eu zerei o jogo de tudo quando era forma, mais ainda não zerei a dlc com tiro inicial, agora estou focado em pegar S rank em todos os Bosses, faltam apenas 2, depois vou tentar zerar a DLC com o tiro inicial também. Sucesso pra ti irmão 👍 I'm BR
What I noticed 1st phase: Flames on the top of the screen doubled from 1 to 2. Sugar Cubes from 5 to 7 Strawberries 12 to 16 Limes 4 to 5 Cookies (didn’t show in the clip but probably 5) to 7
Not only only have to pay attention to every pixel the boss also has extra health so it makes it longer and every object is double like the little fire
without the bossfight and other sounds getting in the way the song with its name (“Baking the Wondertart”) would just sound like the most intense baking session on earth
This boss, when I tell you expert mode is the hardest boss I've ever played, I mean it. The 1st phase is, ironically, the hardest of them all. The limes are by far the hardest ingredient to avoid, so when there are 3 ingredients flying at you including limes, you can only hope and pray you get lucky enough that RNGjesus takes pity on you, and you get onto the next phase. The 2nd phase is easy, for expert mode final boss standards. You get tons of parries, so if you are using SA II with chalice, then you should be able to get by fine. Phase 3 is by far the shortest and easiest, with the only problem being that there are 2 moving saws on the ground. Phase 4 is also easy, with you just needing to use chaser (the green homing shot that does small damage) and parrying the heart. When parried, he gives a whole card, so, again, SA II Chalice is the best. The reason why chaser beats crackshot is that chaser reliably hits, and shoots faster, while crackshot doesn't, and shoots slower. Still use crackshot for the first 3 phases though.
Everytime he atacks the game pickes a random number and depending on the number it chooses a atack so thats why the atacks are diferent thats why he might do the sugar cubes in regular and cokkies in the hard modr
Fun Fact: If you use the cup whose soul is trapped you will be turned into ms chalice but keep the charms of chalice and mug/cup heads charm so basically double charm
Saltbaker's randomized attacks at the first phase are reminiscent of bon bon sending out minions in a random order as one of them aren't used every fight, kinda makes sense why people would ship them. (Scrung?!)
Fico feliz por ele não ficar usando o tiro perseguidor toda hora igual umas pessoas, além que o tiro demora muito para matar I'm glad he doesn't use the chase shot all the time like some people, besides the shot takes a long time to kill
Phase 1 -2 fireballs -more hp Phase 2 -still 2 fireballs -shakers have more hp (I think) -more hp Phase 2 -2 saws this time -probably slightly faster -more hp Phase 3 -smaller platforms (and larger platforms) -heart moves faster -more hp
I know people say the same thing, but when Chef Saltbaker grows gigantic and has the evil smile he really does look like a Disney Villain (specifically The Coachman from Pinocchio). There’s something about the evil smile that has the Disney feel to it. I mean that in good way.
