The UK model is different completely. The fuse board is right next to the airbox. You have to remove the full glovebox assy to get to the pollen filter as there is a plastic 'trim' in the way if you pop the glovebox down. Same on the new shape SEAT Leons
All horizontally mounted cabin air filters with the blower motor mounted below the filter will have downward air flow. So if the old onexwasvwrong put the new one in correctly.
I believe it was Mann - but... Any auto car parts store worth their name will be able to find it for you. It is literally like 15€ or so. The particular one I used costs a couple of euros more cause it is hypoallergenic.
