SNOW! A landscapers enemy! Lol! Evergreens are pretty hardy. Boxwoods, holly, junipers may be an alternative. ✅

One thing to add for winter interest would be more evergreens when those roses and hydrangeas go dormant. I don’t think they are too much maintenance. Just depends on if you want to trim something once/twice a year or not touch at all. Thank you for watching and the comment. 👍🏼

well maybe Missouri is mega humid enough for hydrangeas but where I am in Minnesota those things will make you water bill high as heck (as if I'm not already watering a ton for the lawn😂) I dug mine out w/ the exception of 1 mound and gave them to a neighbor. Probably a good choice if you have a drainage ditch, down spout space or if you live by a river. Of course the stupid japanese beetles came to where I live about 12 years ago so good-bye hybid tea roses . I have one climbing rose in back that the rabbits devoured over the winter so will let it be this summer & mostly likely dig it up if we do an addition out the back of the garage(for husband studio space)- this summer's project : installing wire netting by neighbor's fence where I discovered a hole the rabbits gnawed through the cedar 😕 - ( they also killed a burning bush) , moving fire wood pile to new spot (in order to do the wire netting🙄) relocating several batches of large and medium hosta, replacing a rain barrel, aerating front lawn & replacing driveway - never ends

@@BobbyKDesigns You are so kind - haven't had trouble w/ rabbits for a several years (but now "They're Back ") - one year caught nine in live trap to relocate - they are smarter than they look, those fluffy tails disguise their evil intent - have a great weekend !
