It's actually quite useful for a viewer who makes those mistakes to watch the beginning, to pay attention because they would relate to those mistakes and will listen more carefully about the way to fix them
@@MegaHakim1999 agreed, the useful information was way before 3:54 because it’s good for people to see what they’ve been doing wrong and how to change ur
Obviously you are a very good instructor, explaining everything without glazing or rushing over things. I'm a product trainer, the only right way to teach/train anyone is always assume they know nothing, even if they think they knows everything. start at the begin, explain each step or process, never rush, don't sound condescending or frustrated, everyone learns at different rates, and remember a relaxed pupil will learn more than a nervous pupil
very good video. I have been driving for 35 years but for some reason I know notice I keep on missing the curb in front on my house; good news no one else parks there bad news is hard to judge with out a parked car.
Driving just has so many hard things about it: judging the curb distance, judging the distance between wheels when you're driving, changing gears smoothly, driving in reverse, etc
...also, judging the car height so you know which bumps to climb over and which to avoid. Regular practice helps make you perfect. Knowing how to drive is one thing. Knowing your car well is another important thing.
4:25 - Once I feel like that tire is close enough... That is what exactly the trainee needs to know. When the tire is close enough? Just feeling???? They need a better instruction.
Yes, somethings you just have to feel. Have you ever tried skateboarding it literally is all feeling out how to do something. Someone can teach you all the exact motions but you won’t know how to do them until you try and fail. Eventually you get a feel for it and you just know how to do it.
You are the first person speak NOT SO FAST of all you tube instructions. They are in a hurry to jam in lots of info. I understand you more effectively and easily ,like normal conversation.
Wow, You explain this so neatly because when I pull over to the curb im making sure that I am just by side without figuring out all these small points you are explaining
@@mrspoopy3227 I aint triggered my guy, im laughing my ass off and I don't feel attacked because i'm not a pussy who screams in terror over a fucking youtube comment, it's extremely insignificant to me. I'm only replying to the guy because he's entitled enough to try and judge people online, So I decided to judge him back, don't assume things and next time you should mind your own damn business bud
Wonderful video!! I didn’t realize what I was doing wrong until you explained what kind of driver I was in the beginning of the video. Now I understand how to do it.
I am learning to drive and I love how you explain the drivers point of view every time! Now I kinda know what I am suppose to see in the mirrors! Thanks! ❤
My instructor was telling me that I was too far, and he asked me to look at the side mirrors and set the hand brake to go outside of the vehicle to see the distance from outside
this is exactly my problem. even when reverse parking I am not straight, i always over turn and have a bit of an angle. I just dont know when the car is straight
This is the first time I comment for a pullover to the side. The explanation was so clear. My present instructor never taught me that calm most of the time he controls the car for me so how can I learn if he will never let me do it the way I understood his explanation. Most of the time his becoming impatient that's why I tend to become anxious and commit more mistakes. My previous instructor let me do it and just take control if I'm doing wrong I.
Great idea. But fact is you cannot always use the same marker point for each and every curb. Some curbs are higher than others. One trick is to simply park beside the curb and if you see you are still far away, simply turn the steering to the right then reverse the car towards the curb. When you are now close enough to the curb, turn steering to the left while still reversing to bring the car parallel to the curb. Of course, you need to ensure you have enough space behind you during the initial parking.
Thats what i do. One more thing i would like to add, while reversing, turn the wheel same amount to the left as much you did to the right. For example if you rotated wheel half a turn while reversing to the right, rotate the wheel half a turn while reversing to the left as well.
The center of the dash as he showed can also be used to judge how close his right or left wheel is to the curb when going in at an angle, depending on which side the driver's seat is placed. So looking at the video, you can see the curb riding up the hood towards the center where his hand was. That's the turn point or pretty close to it
@@invi.sk98 when I started driving I thought something was wrong with me lol, I’m pretty good for my experience I’d say. Very few get it naturally, everyone goes through it tbh.
Reverse and use passenger side mirror as if you were paralel parking. That way you can see your wheel approaching and you straighten it when you're close enough.
Firstly the reference point will depend a lot on the angle your car is towards the curb. Secondly, usually there are other cars parked along the road so in real circumstances most likely you won't have that much distance alongside the curb to straighten your car.
thank you for the very useful instruction, my instructor really confused me with the "the curb line is in the middle of your view -> turn your wheel to the left". my view is quite different with his view lol
@@shinejakariya-joble2183you should see all the crazy stuff we have to do. People dont realize the precision required to operate a truck. Or you can be like C.R. england or swift and run over curbs and cars and get fired
It's pretty normal to hit the curb when you are when you ready to turn , sometimes it mainly deals with how small lanes are or how wide your car like my Challenger. Along you don't go fast and be idiot you will be alright
