This is a video about a day at #curborough with the #caterham and Lotus 7 Club. This was my first time #driving here and I know I've got lots to learn. Sprinting is a lot more fun than I thought.

Thanks Nick. It was a great day and I got the sprinting bug for sure. Lots of room for improvement to go quicker. I'm going to try to be quicker generally next year. Or that is the plan 😆

It always surprises me how benign cornering looks on video. From my own experience the way these things corner defies the laws of physics. Fun, fun, fun

Hey Alan yes definitely. I know I've got alot to learn and lots of places where I cam gain time. After being a passenger twice this year with people who can drive I know little Fern can go round corners way quicker than I've ever driven. I'm definitely going to work on that next year. They are amazing little cars aren't they. Is there anything else that will give the same experience?

Great video - always fancied having a go myself - would be interested how quick Chris the expert did it compared with your fastest lap - bet that was seriously fast

Hi Toby thanks. It was a brilliant day and when you do get the chance definitely do it. Chris who I went with had 50bhp more than me and was way quicker. I wish I had asked to put a gopro on his car. Maybe something for another video. I've got lots to learn to get quicker, but I've got a plan for that next year. Watch this space...

Many thanks for another great video, im thinking about doing a few track days through the caterham and lotus seven club net year , from what I’ve read I need a track day roll bar to participate in club organised track days, the caterham parts track day roll bar has gone up considerably in the last few years, do you know of anyone else that sell the roll bars, my car is a 2018 420r sv Many thanks Phil P.S loving the channel, just a shame only one video a week 👍

Hi Phil thanks I'm glad you are liking my content. I would love to produce more videos, but it takes a long time to make them. I've done a few track days with the Caterham and Lotus 7 club and all of them have been great. If you haven't done a track day before I would recommend a novice track day. If you watch my blyton park video I think I explain the format a bit on that. For the roll bar all the information is on the club website. Since you have a 2018 sv I believe you would need a roll bar that has the x in the middle. I don't know if you have that already or a standard roll bar.

@@statustrade4901 thanks Phil. You sometimes see the roll bars up for sale because someone has upgraded to the track day roll bar. I think that's the name the one that's basically a full cage but doesn't have the top side bars. It's worth emailing redline as well for a price. I think cage make them, but I don't think they can sell a caterham cage to the public now but I'm not 100%.
