This video is about South Indian savoury lentil soaked in thick yoghurt called Thair vadai | Perugu Garelu | Dhahi Vada | தயிர் வடை. It is a very good cold starter serverved in brunch,lunch and evening time snacks .It tastes awesome at the same time healthy in a way of serving protein and milk fat .It is very popular in all over south India especially serve red in summer or in a hot day .
Ingredients
For vada
Whole urad dal - 250 gms
Ginger - 1 small piece
Green chilli - 2 to 3
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Coriander leaves - 1 sprig
Pepper - 1/4 Tsp
Cumin - 1/4 Tsp
Hing - 1 good pinch
Salt - To Taste
Oil - For frying
For curd mixture
Curd - 750 ml
Mustard seeds - 1/4 Tsp
Chopped ginger - 1/4 Tsp
Green chillies - 1 or 2 no
Dry Red chillies - 2 no
Hing - one good pinch
Chopped curry leaves- 1 sprig
Turmeric powder- a pinch
For garnish
Pomegranate pearls
Chopped coriander
Fried curry leaves
Grated carrots ( optional)
