Curing Hepatitis C: A team-based approach to a silent epidemic 

Recorded for the 2020 AFHTO (Association of Family Health Teams of Ontario) Conference, this webcast was aired in Oct. 2020. This MAP Centre for Urban Health Solutions research project is helping the St. Michael's Academic Family Health Team (Toronto, Canada) to become the first primary care practice in Canada to cure Hepatitis C among our patients - and share our knowledge across the country. We are doing this through a team-based approach to treatment, educating physicians and also empowering other health professionals - pharmacists to guide medication prescribing, and social workers and addictions counsellors to support patients who face challenging life circumstances.
