I was thinking the same thing about my hair . It’s so hard to find someone that will look at how your hair curls and work with it , I always end up with a cut that is for straight hair, very frustrating
Same, I have hair like hers - and hairdressers usually comb it out and cut it like straight hair and it ends up looking kinda bad. So I've been cutting it myself for the last 5 years or so and the results are much better xD now curl knowledge is starting to spread a bit tho which is good
@@brendacurlstylist My son refuses to let anyone touch his hair. He hates to cut it but it's too long and too much work for me to untangle. Do you have to untangle all the hair first before you dry cut it ? Doesn't that ruin the curl pattern? Please help he's 10 and has had 4 haircuts in his life 😢
@@user-yt2mo8ze7y Try the unicorn cut method. It's a do it yourself layering method that refreshes the curl pattern. There's a lot of RU-vid content on how to do it yourself. Hope this helps
@@brendacurlstylist When I was in school people made fun of you if you had curly hair. Calling you Afro Head. My daughter went through the same thing. If you didn’t have stick straight hair you were an outcast. Your styling of curly hair makes those who don’t have it jealous.
Coarse curly headed girl here.. my only issue with this is that it looks (and probably feels) like there is a lot of product in there. The cut is awesome!
My hair is just like hers! I love it but I can't stand all the products and upkeep it takes to get it to stay curly and not frizzy, so I do other things with it most of the time.
Same! I am tired of all the work that comes with it and the amount of products I have tested...some days it looks great, on other days super crap. I did not want to allow myself blowdrying it straight, but I takes me less time to do that and to know my hair will look fine. 😞
I love how this came out! Honestly I don’t like most curly cuts, most I feel make curly wavy hair like mine and hers look like mullets and thins them out in a weird way. I wish I could find a cutter like this near me 🥹
This one is my favorite. Hair closest to mine. Stylist is genuinely interested in what the client is looking for in a cut. Fantastic stylist!!!♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
@@brendacurlstylist hey! I'm no stylist but the reason I love this so much is my hair is a carbon copy of that clients hair. I mean identical! I've never seen a stylist take any time for me, my wants. This stylist is amazing! If that's you in the video, keep up the great work ♥️♥️♥️
My hair has so many texture Problems rn I’m biracial n my hair gets kinky Afro curls all around my neck face just all around the hairline n then I’ve got a couple diff curl patterns. But I’ve straightened my hair as far as I can remember so heat training was hard on it all this years. I like this trend of everyone embracing their hair. Texture is great. I wish it would’ve been that way for me. Lol. Bc now my autoimmune disease has taken its toll on my hair n skin it’s draining my melanin sadly😭 so now I’m in a whole new territory 😩. Wish me luck🤞🍀. You r a wonderful stylist n beautiful girl keep up the great work hun👏👏💖💖
Oh I'd love to have someone try to get a curl pattern. My hair used to be stick straight but the last oh several months or so it's developed a wave when it air dries. I'd love a pro to take a try at it. Love your work!
I want to know what products you use!! I have been chemically straightening my hair for years, I am tired of wasting money on hair products that DO NOT WORK!
Finally someone who has hair like mine. Beautiful result! My question is, Could the layers have gone even shorter while still making a round shape, so that you can't tell where one curl ends and the next begins? Keeping this much length, I'm wondering if the layering can go just a bit shorter and more bouncy
I need a Brenda expert in New Jersey! She’s so good. I’ve been searching for a stylist with experienced on how to cut curly and wavy hair. No luck 😢 here in Jersey… Brenda you are a legend sis! Keep up the amazing work you do ❤.
Wish I had a hair stylist like this, I have had so many disasters with my curly hair and them not knowing how to cut it, I cut it myself now and it’s the best it’s ever looked.
Your hair sounds just like mine. It took me YEARS to find products that work! I got a sample of some product that was designed for ethnic hair, so I read the directions and gave it a shot and...there it was. My hair was light, bouncy defined curls but without any of the weight or "crunchy-ness" caused by all the other products, and yet it still completely controlled my frizz and left my locks looking smooth and hydrated. A few products you could check out are: 1.) Miss Jessie's Pillow Soft Curls, 2.) Miss Jessie's Jelly Soft Curls, 3.) the "Love Ur Curls" three-step system (shampoo, conditioner, & step 3 "All-in-One" Repair/Hydrate/Style Cream) - makes it simple, hair looks great. Just get the kind that's meant for your type of hair, like 4a or 2c.
Wow. WOW. W.O.W I am so hooked on this channel . BEAUTIFUL hair handled perfectly! You are doing a priceless public service by showing us your cutting technique and that you use a ton of water with Ouidad products.Simple thanks are not enough. ☕️🥤❤️
I enjoy watching the transformation of unruly locks! You do a remarkable job! Congrats! Could you please tell me what you use on the hair after it is cut? I have curly hair too and all the products I have tried do not achieve what you have!
Quanto mi piacerebbe poterli fare da te. Sono sicura che risolverei grandi problemi ai capelli per forti shock . Sei bravissima, i capelli ricci bisogna saperli trattare. Buona vita ❤️
Danke🙏
I just love your work u are awesome. My little girl has hair like the young lady in this video except its thin I live in PR where can i find your products? It so hard for my 14 year old to maintain her curls hydrated and the frizz its just too muchhhh Need help like 911. Also i see u use steam, is that to hydrate the hair shaft?
That looks awesome. I haven't had my curly hair cut since last November. I'm having a hard time finding someone that can't do my hair with out leaving cliffs in it
What a Genius you are!!! And the Girls with Uncontrollable Curly Hair must think you're their Savior! Bc you Really know what you're doing, Time After Time you're Transforming CURLY HAIR (no longer a frustrating word) for ALL of them!! 🥰😊🌷
Would be overjoyed to have curls like this. Instead, coping with limp straight fine hair, ugh. Y’all are MAKING your hair dry out and frizz because you’re trying to straighten it. Embrace the curl and work with it!
It depends. Not all curly hair is the same. Porous curly hair is a nightmare to work with. Especially, 30 years ago when most people didn't know what to do with it.
This is what I'm literally going through. My curly hair not playing the ball and the haircuts I've been having are less than suitable and are making everything that much worse. Having a haircut next week and I, too, have decided to have more of a blunt cut and want to grow out all those unwanted layers.
Where are you located? Here in NYC or another state. You do good work on the curls especially Latina girls gave curly hair that sometimes it's hard to maintain. ❤❤
I have wavy hair. Go to the salon they want to cut to much off. l also cut my hair as well. I do better job. I really like this ,hair stylists she really knows what she's doing. She's gets a 1000% rating ❤❤❤❤
