I think that the DoS held back fb visas until Islamabad started to work again. In December and January they did more fb visas than they did in the entire previous fiscal year.

Hi…thank you for the information. My daughter became documentarily qualified in Jan of this year. Her priority date is Feb 2017 and country of chargeability is Trinidad and Tobago. She is F1 category. My question is…does she have to actually wait for the next 2 years before her priority date becomes current or will she get an interview based on the US Embassy in Trinidad ( which is a small country with approximately 1.4m people). She is part owner in a small business and the murder rate in Trinidad is significantly high. I fear for her everyday.

I've been current for at least three months now and I'm contemplating transferring to Sierra Leone. My query is whether a Sierra Leonean Resident Permit for myself alone would suffice, considering I am the principal applicant. To be honest and sincere, Ghana us embassy is not scheduling visa appointments. Since march 2020 no interviews where scheduled in all gamy preferences category

Sir thanks for the videos very informative. Looking at the nvc backlog you can clearly say 75% of the backlog are family preference categories. Limited visa availability is the issue, if only the government can make visa available for the family preference then this backlog will be done with easily.

Can you check the status of embassy In Abuja Nigeria? Also how does this affect CR1 as a visa should be available for this category. My PD 3/18/23 and DQ 3/28/24. What do you think the timeline will be for an interview?

Embassy status and visa processing times are not publicly available, but the US Department of State has information on the embassy www.embassy-worldwide.com/embassy/embassy-of-algeria-in-abuja-nigeria/. CR1 processing times vary, but your case is likely still in processing. It's too early to predict an interview.

Hi thanks a lot for your video that i find very helpful. My k1 visa status got ready at the ceac portal since January 18th 2024 . I havent received a letter from the embassy yet but i created an account and have paid the interview fee, and got an appointment date for may 15 2024. If i dont get my letter before that period do i reschedule am a little confused can you help me please.

You don't necessarily need to reschedule. Having an interview date is a good sign and some embassies don't mail notification letters.

Thank you for covering Africa. Nigeria 🇳🇬 is slow 😭 You Rock 🙌🏼 we are in the backlog pool of pending PD 01/2023 & DQ 12/2023. Nigeria 🇳🇬 embassy is doing redundant work that has already been submitted to USCIS to be approved to move to NVC! Handing out 221g forms on a lot of interviews requesting proof of relationship. 😐 My AOS is EZ form. Required documents uploaded. With additional legal supporting evidence of my marriage is genuinely authentic. These folks are asking for chat logs to review with that 221g form placing people on AP delaying the process even more! 😭🥹 They are backlogged because of asking for chats to review? 😂 Seriously, we as US petitioner are signing a AOS agreement. We are responsible for our relationship and spouse. I don’t understand why it is such a delay at the consulate! USICS did their due diligence and reviewed and approved! NVC DQ folks! Embassy delaying the process by putting folks on AP to request chat logs. If the required documents are met why are they putting people on AP for an optional document to be submitted? If basically signing your future on the dotted line isn’t proof enough, Idk what they are really asking for or looking for.

It’s really frustrating knowing NIGERIA 🇳🇬 has two US embassies and they are operating limited operations in Abuja and Lagos is bogged down with all categories! The staff is not equipped to process all of Nigeria and there aren’t enough hours in the day or weeks in month! The embassy closes on Nigeria holiday and US holiday! Restricting time to work! 😫😞 There is back log to clear and I do t see anything implemented to rectify the situation. All I hear is how the USCIS & NVC is modifying the process and the process time is improving! Okay! Wonderful! There are 3 phases to the process! What is the US doing to improve counselor processing? The US government encourages apply for legal path to USA! Ha! They delay unnecessarily on some applicants! B1B2 over 1.5 years for an interview in Nigeria! CR1/IR1 close to two years! NO VISA should take that length of time! US still using Covid as an excuse! Hmm 🤔 I need to speak to the manager! 😂 Expectations are not set for the US embassy and that is unacceptable. Who can prepare any plans from TBD pending interview letter? CR1/IR1 visa applications have a visa available immediately. CR1/IR1 is issued at the NVC stage! It is the invoice #! So why the delay?

Nairobi Kenya is not doing that good, they don't prioritize family based category, the wait time currently is almost 2 yrs. Its very sad they are putting families in critical situations
