I like to think that when you step into midas's room, you can see midas Infront of his prison that is turned into complete gold while midas walks to you (menacingly) to try to turn v1 into gold
If you think about it Minos, Sisyphus, and Midas are all from Greek mythology. They all are kings in the myths. They all have been deemed with an unfortunate curse.

Midas actually got off lightly, in the myth he just asks dyonisus to take his power away and he does with repercutions, hell he even insultd apollo to his face and apollo just shruggs it off and turns his ears into that of a donkey, pairing him up as the 3rd prime soul would not fit in at all, the guy is just dumb as oposer to sisyphus whos an actual clever and greedy king
He could be the king of fraud with his story about turning things to gold being a total fabrication that's now placed upon him in hell, leaving him starving, depraved of anything other than yellow, and generally left maddened to the point of even being feral
@@Ticci_Tobiithat could be a sick idea ngl, maybe a secret boss where you need to P just a single layer so the player see it as out of place and find it confusing, but then its revealed that hes just guarding the real P gate (the gate of course golden) edit: what if instead of guarding a true gate behind a fake one he guards something like the P-P (lol) gate as he believes its the way out of hell or something like that so if you wanted to fight the P-P boss you'd need to kill him first

I feel like you should change the "machine" because Gabriel already calls V1 that, and every PRIME souls says something diffrent for example Sisyphus says "Weapon" and Minos says "Creature of Steel".
I can only imagine how amazing Midas would be as a prime soul. It would be sick if he would 1 shot you every hit but to balance this his projectiles would act as coins that you could bounce bullets off of.
or maybe his melee attacks add a portion of permanent (at least for the duration of the fight) hard damage, since he may only be turning parts of v1 into gold
A battle where a single mere hit ends it all. Parrying is your only option to avoid his attacks (aside from dodging, of course). Heaven could only hope to trap his soul, yet is Sisyphus is any example, it proves nigh impossible. Minos was merely a rare and lucky exception, and now, with the walls bleeding with gold, the third Prime Soul awaits...

It's really unfortunate that all of the fan tracks completely miss what makes Hakita's music so good. Not only is it clever and incredible music production/mixing, but also a fair bit of music theory as well. All of the tracks in Ultrakill fit right into the levels they play in and have themes/leitmotifs to them that help to tell the game's lore and story. In top of that, it isn't just drum n bass and metal, either. The co.bqt tracks for 7-2 and 7-3 have very prominent, co.prehensive drum patterns to them, for instance. Nothing like what drum n bass is known for.
This fits. Too much. P-3 will likely be Ultrakill's send-off level before being 'handed' to the community for good. Midas's Touch would only enhance the fight, as likely a single direct hit from him would be an insta-kill. It just fits too much man.
@@defiiiiiThink about it: Minos is for Lust because he ruled over it, not because he was lustful. Sisyphus was for Greed because he led the people of that layer to war, not because he was greedy. It’s very possible for Midas to be associated with a layer much lower than the one he was sentenced to, and I think that both Fraud and Treachery could work for him.
I can say that if this becomes real / gets a custom level then it would be actually scary. A single touch and you are gone. In ultrakill it could translate to "Each hit deals Hard Damage equal to the Damage for some time, meaning you cant heal properly because gold" Still fucking sick Fanmade Theme

sisyphus has the description "...would gladly lie, cheat, or kill..." iirc, so if midas and sisyphus were switched it'd make more sense, taking only lore into account. that being said, sisyphus would need to be harder and reworked for it to work out.

i would imagine that the arena was not all gold, but partly gold, as midas seeing what his curse did, tried to stay away from everything he didnt touch already, additionally a cool thing could be that as midas attacked v1 his footsteps and punches would turn the floor or walls gold, and these parts would hurt v1 in some way, along with, maybe the river from the story of midas, sort of washing away the gold parts turning them normal again.
in Ultrakill lore, I think the story of Midas would be made a little more disturbing. Glorifying the times Midas disrespected the gods to a whole other level than "Your music sucks"
If this becomes real, the fight would be a bit hard to make it mytho-accurate dud to his ability to turn ANYTHING into gold. Unless… this Midas washed his hands. But according to the title of the ost, nope.

Hear me out... Since he says "Was that a doubloon?" In this, he would take less damage from ricoshots (a 75% damage modifier [or 25% less damage] against ricoshots), or straight up heals from them, by a very small margin (like 0.2 per ricoshot, adding 0.05 per coin)

This is a really cool concept, with amazing music to boot. Minos, Sisyphus, and Midas are the three most well know Greek kings so it would make sense to complete the trio. My only problem is that Midas' entire thing is greed, but that's already taken by Sisyphus, so I don't know what layer he'd rule over. Maybe Fraud?

Yeah, Midas Prime is pretty much a good theory, but there's an issue. Minos was encountered in Act 1, which contained LUST, the layer he ruled. Sisyphus was encountered in Act 2, Which contained GREED, He commited the sin of Greed. Now, Midas? Not much in Act 3, we have VIOLENCE, FRAUD and TREACHERY. I'm not sure if he has anything to do with any of those, I'm not that much into Dante's Inferno and that stuff. So I don't really think he's a good guess.
Gold is known for being a heavy and really soft metal. V1 is going to lose 1 or 2 maximum HP permanently because he is turning into not really durable gold, and also move slower and jump lower. You maybe can't heal from him but he is however, can kill you only through turning you into gold. He is going to slowly scratch yo until you die. But he also could have 3 HP bars ( imagine ).
The other 2 prime souls have been missing some sort of feature, Minos without a face, Sysiphus without a head. I can see Midas without hands, like they tried to null his curse to entrap him.
what's funny about midas is that his curse was literally brought upon him, he wished to turn anything to gold and he loved it until he realized he couldn't eat
I feel like Midas Prime's gimmick would be that his attacks are slow and predictable while still being hard to dodge. But if you get hit or parry you instantly die due to getting turned to gold. It would be a really fun yet challenging gimmick. I feel like Midas' projectiles could also be coins you could shoot to damage him instead of you, and if you got hit they wouldn't instakill, just deal damage.
unironically, I have recently made an idea for Midas Prime as an ultrakill boss. Notable features include a gilded flesh sphere that deflects bullets in the first phase, and two types of attacks for Midas himself, with leg and hand attacks (the hand attacks turn V1 to gold, dealing much more Hard Damage and slowing him down)
Midas prime could be in a P-S, which is unlocked by P-ranking the entire game and completing a massive puzzle spanning the 3 acts, with an incredibly hard gauntlet before Midas Prime himself, who always one-hits you.
