@childelee2569 lmaooo I just like being dps but if my tank can't hold aggro well then I'm cool with taking the hits. Basically I'm like a off tank that has no real aggro threat generation who's squishy lmao
@lonrea2886 yeah the dash technique is very useful for bosses with a ring stun like that. It's actually the only reason why I take that dash ability since it's too op in these boss fights. I hope this guide helps your future cursed wasteland runs!
@MrRenox23 I do think melee should stay with tank in this fight so the rotation is easier for the team. Just make sure that if you don't got the purple mark that you're away from the tank when he needs to reposition for the breath.
Oh, you are the reason pugs keep griefing tanks! The CLOSEST person gets the aggro, so as melee DPS, you need to be at the edge of your attack range. This way, the tank always gets the purple orb and can simply dash over the yellow lines, avoiding the need to waste time opening those gates.
Solid guide, as a tank main, guides usually 9 times outta 10 show from the dps perspective So its nice whenever i see a guide from a tank’s perspective

I'm a tank and I had a pug telling me I'm supposed to be the one opening the gates when I get the purple marker on me. I knew something was wrong and my dps didn't want to commit to the mechanic at all. I'm so glad I watched this vid lol it really is a simple mechanic that just 3 people need to really pay attention to
Exactly. People are making this boss fight seem so hard when it's actually super simple. Could be that people are scared to mess up the mechanic and don't want to be blamed for it. Hopefully you were able to complete this dungeon!
I have a love hate relationship with these dungeons. They make it where everyone has to do their job with little room for error. It creates moments you don't get other places, like seeing the group grow from failing and chaos into a fighting machine where everyone is on point like choreography. On the other hand, they require everyone to perform with little error and there are some really one cell organisms out there or NPCs playing player characters idk.
@Darth0308 bahaha yeah these dungeons require players to have good synergy and know mechanics. This boss is only hard on paper but once properly shown how to position it becomes so easy. Hopefully this guide helped you complete this dungeon!

it warms my heart as a healer when tanks know what they are doing, looks so gigachad. But then I have to look out for these 4 chimpanzees running like headless chicken around boss arena. Then you're queue'd up to a staff/wand guy that picked "dps". It's so tilting, time wasted, effort wasted plus have to go to work by morning as well. Enjoyed the video, thankyou for showing us this
LMAO I actually am DPS but my tank in that party couldn't pull aggro well and messed up the purple mark mechanic and died every time. So I said I would try to take his spot since I kept grabbing aggro anyways. But, since I knew what I was doing they happily supported me and we cleared it easily.
Yours is the only guide I've seen that actually explains the proper mechanics, where the tank is very likely to be the one to get the blue orb. Where to stand, how to do it easily. All the other "guides" had me going in and making a complete fool out of myself. Maybe it's because they don't mention that tank/melee is more likely to get the orb or something and they all show ranged players moving through two gates with the tank opening one gate for them. It's probably why everyone is struggling with this so much; bad/outdated guides. You've earned a sub.
TY! I was also looking up guides for this fight and I swear they make it seem so complicated when it's not. So, after like 3 and a half hours of suffering I wanted to explain the mechanics more clearly for tanks and melees who get the purple mark. @@ImmortalPrime I do agree that the more popular content creators who make these guides don't explain this boss fight well at all. Then the others who were playing on Korea for a year have no issue with this boss. I hope this video does reach out to more players who are attempting this dungeon because it for sure is frustrating to deal with teammates who will leave after the 2nd or 3rd wipe and then you have to reque. IMO this dungeon is probably one of the easiest ones out of the lvl 50 dungeons but people just make it complicated for no reason. Anyways, I'm glad I could help you!
My bad I was yapping too much but that's cause I was super tilted with a headache. It took almost 4 hours just to beat this guy because of people leaving plus the stubborn and incompetent players with bad strategies for the mechanics. That's also why I added time stamps for you to go straight into so you could just get straight to the point.
